damn, if the my phone was ACTUALLY my wife's phone i'd like to check this out....

... but she'd make me change it back as soon as she found out she couldn't do mms... we just had a baby and all she does is send pics out.... haha
 
Before I install please let me ask. I installed CM7 build from 20110323 using CWM 2.x.x and it worked fine. Do I have to use CWM 3.0.0.5 for this latest build? And if so can I install Rom Manager and install 3.0.0.5 from there?

k thx issac, no biggie not alot of apps on mine yet lol.

I'm currently restoring my 2.1 backup n see if I can find the apk files for the apps I really missed, wasnt many really, just some I umm didnt get from the market lol.

And I think this was answered in the flash thread but flash wont work on the ascend at all right?
 
Ok I installed the Newest Version on my Ascend and when it get to the Guy you touch to start setting it up it just go's back to the Cyanogen screen over and over
 
Also, the CWM file is a .img file and I'm used to the setup from the ICARUS guide with CWM 2.5.1.8 where you click on two different files and black windows display. I'm not entirely sure how I'm supposed to use this new one.
 
The CWM recovery version doesn't matter. Just added the new one because some people like the newest and greatest stuff.
 
Isaacj87 I am Sorry to Ask This But Could u put up the Instructions for this or a Link to a site that has them. I have tried over and Over today to put CM7 on my Phone and it Loads up and when i get to the guy that you tap. it reboots to the Cyanogen Screen and dose it over and Over I dont know what i am doing Wrong
 
Just a reminder everyone please make a backup before installing. And if at any time you want to change roms just boot into whatever version of CWM you have and then just restore. I keep backups of Icarus 1.0, Icarus 1.1, CM6 and CM7 so I am always prepared :D
 
+1 on the backups. The app Appkik can backup any apps you want to save n maynot be able to get again ;)

just flashed mine n doing the google setup n dl's now 8)

I am not familiar with Appkik. Is it in the Market. Where does it backup your apps? Thanks

So on the new build are either the camera or usb funcionality fixed? If not I'd rather wait to flash until one or the other is because, quite frankly, I LOVE IT! This build is fine for me right now. super fast and easy. I still use launcher pro plus but this is a vast improvment from icarus. I hope you get the kinks in the camera worked out soon! much love

edit: this is wierd. I use better keyboard and the skins don't work... maybe i'm doin something wrong though...
