Its the weather & toggle widget with the extras addon.

Is mms working for the rest of you with this installed? Mines not sending, just sits there saying its sending but never completes. I may just not have a good enough signal but I get texts n calls fine, data is fine too.
 
I want to Say thank you to Everyone for trying to help me get CM7 on my Ascend But I have not been able to yet. I have tried over and over and all it dose is load all the way up till you get the Android guy you have to press to set it up and then reboots to the Cyanogen mod Screen and keeps going over.I can get CM6 on my phone great but I cant Get CM7 :-(

ummm which instructions are you following? oh and try this, boot into CWM n run fix permissions.
 
Now this is what I followed:

1 . Download CM7 and Gapps from the links in the OP.
2 . Place the zip files on the root of your sd card
3 . Boot into clockworkmod and backup your current rom.
4 . Wipe data, wipe cache, and then go to advanced and wipe Dalvik.
5 . Select install zip from sd-->choose zip--> and look for the CM7 file you downloaded.
6 . When that finishes repeat #5 and select your Gapps file.
7 . Wait for it to finish installing then select reboot system now.

I also ran fix permissions b4 I ran a backup and after install.

oh yeah, big time... and if usb or camera malfunction you need to reflash so i recommend skipping the initial setup and testing those first.
 
about to reboot my phone now after doing it again but only fixed permissions after i installed i hope it works im getting stressed lol

they do dont they lol, it all seems smoother to me compared to 2.1.

So mms still doesnt work???


I can live w/o mms, just like to know it doesnt work or its just me lol

back up contacts... contacts, menu button, more, manage contacts, backup to sd

download these files...

recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-ascend.img (save in a cwm folder if you don't have cwm, if you do rename it recovery.img and save to current cwm replacing already existing file)

update-cm7-03302011-NIGHTLY-Ascend-signed.zip (save in a folder you can find easy)

open cwm and go to backup/restore
select backup.

reboot phone and connect to usb

copy your sd card a folder for safe keeping.

copy gapps and cm7 .zips to sd card

disconnect from usb and turn off phone.

boot to fast boot (vol DOWN, HANGUP, POWER)

connect usb to pc

open cwm folder previously dl/d and: run the install-recovery file according to os (for windows .bat)

disconnect usb and pull Battery out for ten seconds

boot into cwm
your cwm should now be orange and black instead of green and black.

wipe data/ factory reset
wipe cache
under advanced wipe dalvik cache
(optional) under mounts and storage, format following... boot, data system cache

install .zip from sd
chose zip from sd.
install cm7 rom
install gapps

advanced, fix permissions

restart system now.

spare parts will change the end button behavior. I still got on cm7 and changed everything up. remember guys, we rooted our phones for more than just speed, at least I did. Someone asked about better keyboard, GET IT! I also always get root tools and change to the droid font and driod pissing on apple boot anim:D For me rooting is half for speed and half for customization
