Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

I retract my statement about the 748. I am in a middle of a self caused bootloop because i checked "set on boot" for the cpu setting. It reboots gets to the home screen and reboots again. Hmmm... i think a reflash is in order. Damn you curiosity...

Edit: It let me in and I turned it down.

might have had a bad flash but which metro off did you flash...try this one MetrOFF-v1.3-MMS-GB-Edify-CM_ASOP-No_Roaming_indicator_Off_signed.zip it can be flash with 3.0.2.8 theres no need to downgrade to 2xxxxx to flash metro off.

Used it and i still cant send mms. i can revieve them but if i try to send it either comes back to me or the circle keeps spinning to the left of the message. If this would work cm7 would be perfect.. All i need to do is flash it then open APNs and make sure i get the green dot onmetro right? maybe reboot a time or two..

all should stay at 729 for a couples day to let the phone settle and try higher once the phone seems to be working good...

I have a fix for SDcard/usb mounting issues. If you're having trouble transferring files and them not showing up or deleting files and they're still on the card, try this:

Go into your apps. Open up the terminal emulator

type in the following commands:

Code:
su
Allow superuser to run.
(the keyboard might disappear upon doing this. Long-press the menu key to bring it back up)

Code:
chmod 777 /sdcard
Now, plug your phone into the comp. Try adding music or pictures and see if they don't show up. The File Manager app is slow to refresh, but eventually it does show the newly added or deleted files. Good luck

Please let me know if this works and I'll try to implement it into the ROM. I can confirm this works on WIndows 7 x86_64 and Kubuntu 64-bit

Ok well after a few reboots of the latest build all seems smooth, I did run at full throttle but I am going toscale back to 729 mhz for a few days to see how it goes. I am however wondering when I did the flash I didnt do any wipes just flashed the latest build.... I believe Isaac may havesaid this is ok as it is just an update. Am I accurate in doing so?

Also when I use the videocamera it is making 3 copies of the same vid, is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, to your first question...

No, to your second...I just have one vid show up.

I'm getting one video showing up. I had a reboot on the 748, I was downloading all of the Google Apps at one time though. So I think it was just me overdoing it. :3

It definitely worked for me. Both with the USB plugged in and not plugged in. It showed in both Root Explorer and in File Manager. Windows 7 86x_64 here. :]

Thanks!

I don't know what's going on but I've been stuck on the Huawei screen for about 15-20 minutes. This has never happened to me before seeing as I've basically become a pro at flashing.
