Root [ROM][WIP] CyanogenMod 7 | Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) | Current Version: 09122011

Thank you PlayforGod for the Update I just Screwed my phone up on my own lol When doing all the wipes i wiped the SD card By Mistake and since i only have an XP computer at my home at the time I have no way to put CM7 or Stock on the SD card to Fix it I am Kicking myself in the Ass but Still Thank you for working on this

Finally! Someone who is addressing our REAL problem. I have Metro and we don't get the 3G so WIFI is where its at for us am I right? I've been a huge fan of flashing my phone to these ROMs for months now and its great! I'm running 5/14 now because I tried 5/21 and it's so fast and awesome, but the WIFI shuts off and reconnects every 20 seconds! This is very annoying when streaming videos. Then I tried PG's 6/18 but he did nothing to fix the WIFI issue I just got a new boot splash and an overclock kernel I quickly found out I can't use. So here I am on 5/14, waiting for one of you guys who is smarter than me to fix the WIFI issue on build 5/21 because in my opinion that is all that is needed for it to be perfect! Thanks for everything I hope this happens soon!!! :)
 
do it work on the huawei ascend metro pcs cause i been doin this for mostly all the updates but im running cm7 04//2011 and im tryng to do the 062011 one but its stuck at boot screen i really want this one is there nething i need to do different??

giveit a try, but make sure you backup your rom before flashing the new one just in case your phone gets caught up in a bootloop or dont load.

If it sticks on boot you can't run the 748 kernel that comes with 6/18. Flash 5/21 it will work. If your WIFi keeps reconnecting go back to 5/14 until they fix it.

Question:

How do you access DARK TREMOR'S A2SD in this build of CM7? Is it incorporated into the stock APPS2SD & just use it as you would the APPS2SD on previous builds?Or,do you need to add the DT'S A2SD to the 06182011 build?

i did the first 4 things & install CM7 618 & GAPPS, then booted back to CWM installed Metroff. without formatting anything & work awsome. why formatting?
 
I'm having a real f!#$ing with cm7 upgrade frum pg I'm a veteran flasher by tha way how about when I got tha new rom running I didn't give me and option to log into my google account?And becuz of that I couldn't get all my numbers back and when I restored my apps how about android market is gone?

try reflashing the gapps, btw what gapps are you flashing with the 06 build?

From my understanding you can use it like normal.

Unless you and another ascend user on CM7 are on the same network/connection shouldn't affect anything. The mac address issue has nothing to do with lousy wifi networks ;)

And as a quick fix for the mac address issue, you can always just set a static IP, at least on your home network.

A fix will be applied soon as I, or someone else finds one ;)

im wondering if the mac addy from 2.2.2 can be use in cm7, and have it compile into the updated build or 0521 build...that way there will be the same build with 2 different mac addy's.
