Hi guys, I'm new to this 'root' things, and just did it couple of days ago using revolutionary.
Now I use Virus Kingdom ROM b1.3, but I have problem, which is when I exit some applications or press the home button, it keeps rebooting, and showing black screen. It took 20 to 30 seconds.
I did nandroid back up, wipe cache, data, and dalvik.
Did I do something wrong?

do you have your card partitioned? that is a big rom. also do you have a class 6 or higher card?

Yes, i think that is the problem. I don't have card partition yet. The card itself is class 6 already.
Any link to show me how to make a card partition?
One more thing, do you have any idea of other sense based ROM?

if you like sense 3.0 then try mik3d b1. it is still in beta but damn best of rom i have tried in a long while. also check out mikg 2.45 it is sense 2.1 with a little of sense 3.0 added.

Will i still need to make card partition if use mik3d b1?

Damn you ocnbrze!!!!!! Now I'm going to go home here at 3:30 in the morning and flash Mik3D!!!! I suppose that I'm going to have to re-flash Golden Monkey and rerun the v6 script as well?
 
yep this rom keeps getting better and better. i really cannot wait for the final release. though king just put out his rom based off of mik3d that i might try later.
 
Guys, a noob question here..

Can I delete a few sub folders in Nandroid folder? Cause everytime i make a back up, it also takes some memory on my SD card..

Yeah, I've made copies of them in my computer..

if by subfolders you mean nandroid backups, then yes you can delete those. i only keep at the most two nandroids on my card.
 
What's the best kernel for miui idk if I want sbc or not right now I have tiamat 4.0.6 none sbc and feel like its the same kernel I had with stock miui thanks guys

not very familiar with miui (not a big fan) but for me with cm7 and tiamat sbc 4.0.6 i was able to get consistently 18-35 hours off charge with moderate to heavy usage. of course though with kernels its YRMV. also try savage kernels as well.

as far as sbc goes. i love them. i cant wait for sbc kernels for gingerbread sense. try them out. whats your hold up?
 
I'm on cm7 with tiamat 4.0.6 sbc and it's great. No issues not to do it. (the whole sbc debate is pretty washed up; someone said that *if* sbc did anything, it would take years, by then the battery would be failing anyways right?) Go for it. You will not look back.
 
can someone link me to a download for sense 3.0 that I can flash once I root my evo? It seems like nobody puts anything on here for non-experts.
