ok guys,
i just added a beta section. these are roms that are a work in progress. so things may or may not work.

i added the bliss, runnymede, and king runny to the op.

Hey guys..
There are a lot of ROM's on here! Can someone tell me which one is the most recent and as stock as possible. Im looking for the most recent (Gingerbread) Android with Sense and looking to keep my EVO as stock as possible, as I am giving this one to a friend.
Thanks a lot!!

well you have define most recent. there are the beta roms that are sense 3.5 that are still a work in progress. if you mean the latest ota then go to the 4.53 gingerbread section. the first one in that section is the stock rooted version. try the odexed rom.

Ok, thanks! And, good point. What I'm looking for is one that is as close to the most recent OTA update that Sprint pushed... with the Sense that you would see on an EVO that just came out of the box. Which one you think is most similar?
Thanks again!

I just flashed this in a matter of minutes.. its exactly what i was looking for. Just wanted to thank you again. (not trying to get too sentimental here.) But, this is what i love about the EVO community... Its amazing the support this phone has. I dont think there is a phone out there that has the flowing that the EVO line of phones has. The EVO 4G was my first Android, and I feel like I was able to master Android in no time because of forums like these. What a great, fun and exciting experience. Getting the EVO 4G has been one of the best decisions I've ever made in wireless.

Long Live the EVO!

And, Thanks again, ocnbrze!

no worries, glad it worked for you.

First of all awesome job on this rom, love the layout...who is the developer and how do I get in touch with them, have seen a couple issues with it... first issue is with set cpu, without overclocking it is running at about 898mhz accourding to benchmarks, however I can overclock it but when I set anything else thru setcpu it locks the phone up and try to reboot it gets caught in a bootloop....any suggestions on this issue or should I change the Freedom kernel to chopsuey and try it with this rom.... the second issue is that at stock speed running at 898mhz the phone seems sluggish, trying to figure out what to do to speed it back up so it runs optimal, whether someone can suggest the optimal settings for this rom on setcpu or change the kernel all together and try that....thanks in advance

make sure that you do not select set on boot when overclocking until you know tht your phone can handle it. how high are you setting?

Not sure if this has been thought of or if it is to difficult to keep up with but has someone thought of adding next to the rom if it is still an Active developent or Inactive development. I was going to Try Savage Zen however it is inactive (Going to the site will not allow me to download anything ROM or Kernal) I did some looking around an found out it is inactive and apparently someone took over the project but hasn't posted anything.

Anyway I was thinking maybe someone could check the links out like once a month and make sure that developers are still working on these and they are not being offered any more no need for someone to click a link for a ROM here if its not being developed or offered any more.

that is not a bad idea. if anybody could report bad links or something like that that would really help. i do not have the time at the momnet to go through every rom on the list to verify. but i will look into savage zen later tonight.

Cool. I know if I come across any that don't work for me I'll report them to you.

I figured it out, updated Set Cpu to new version, running Chopsuey kernel now and WOW what a difference, outstanding setup, running setcpu on conservative and its running at 1368mhz now with No profile settings set...updated PRI and updated profile and then prl and internet speeds have doubled on 3g and phone is running extremely fast now and battery life is outstanding, had full charge, heavy use thruout the day tested for 24hrs exactly talking on phone running internet, ran copilot gps for 2 hours straight and a few text messages in there also and after the 24 hour mark I still have 58% battery left....

I love this setup

I didn't think so either but I overclocked it and it locked up, so I set it at conservative with no profiles, changed the PRI, changed the threshold up and down values and Freq Step, set on boot then rebooted... started up and ran like a dream, peak frequency hit 1368 and runs consistantly from 1113 to 1368 when screen is on and slows down to 268 when screen is off.....ran smartbench and thats what it sayed.....so not only is setcpu saying those speeds but also smartbench 2011 is too..... and the answer to your question is I am running Green Lightning with Chopsuey Kernel

Thats pretty freaking fast! Do you think this kind of speed would work on the MikG ROMs? Also when you say about overclocking how exactly would you do that? On the chop suey kernel is there any particular version you are using? Can you give us the exact procedure for a layman?

Thanks!

you need an app like setcpu to over and underclock your phone. not all phones will react the same, so you may have issues going that high. my phone only an go up to 1190. any higher my phone freaks out. also make sure that have the set on boot option unchecked, until you know that your phone is stable at that setting or you will get a bootloop that is a pain to get out of.

Hey ocn, Thanks for being patient with me with all my questions! HaHa. I think MikG has come up with a new version to the ROM. Version 2.53. I am downloading it as we speak. I just thought I would let you know!
