Root root cricket zte grand x max

Sorry to hear that you have done alot to help with this phone. What did you do that caused the brick... You seem pretty tech savy and i would like to avoid your mistake.

Yeah don't do a factory reset without twrp installed you lose recovery when you run the. DD script to gain read/write permissions. Always install twrp before you do a factory reset

I noticed that and luckily when my my phone got wiped i was in twrp and i was able to download the blisspop room and send it to my sdcard

OK the lollipop update worked I posted over on the xda thread for our phone the steps to take if your phone is rooted I am now running lollipop haven't explored everything yet as I wanted to let everyone know the procedure first. Now I have to try and reroot the phone...I will keep everyone posted on my progress. Special thanks to masterchief over at the zmax thread cause I would of never been able to get back to stock if not for him

Found it, thanks. I'm sure this has to be done from stock rom. It won't let me upgrade with my altered debloated stock with our root method

Go to zteusa website find and click on our phone and scroll down, you will see a section on support and there will be a section that says software upgrade... there it is

Unfortunately, ZTE website is down now. I will check it later. How is your phone running lollipop? Better, worse or nothing different?

I prefer the lollipop and i feel that it is running smoother and faster, it comes with a new camera app, clock app, file manager, deasel music and some other new things and for anyone in stock with the stock recovery please tell me what the menu options in stock recovery cause i want to know if they are the same as the updated version, thanks

Its all good, got the meta.inf file now for lollipop, should be interesting what can be done now, give me a couple of days and I'll get to cooking a ROM with this lollipop, the same problem though, won't let me update either

The only way I see to get Lollipop is to get clean stock rom, flash, upgrade to Lollipop and use kingroot again. Basically start over.

Do you think this rom could be pre rooted or once we root is it going to have read and write

I sent you the build.prop, along with the md5 checksum.

Edit: it is unaltered.
Hello would you be able to send me a copy of you build.prop unaltered I did something to my max+ it still works but I notice some lines of the buildmprop disappear I want to move things back to how they were but I forgot to make a backup first. I just need the file to be able to open it using a note editer and add the lines that I'm missing

I reverted back to stock and flashed the 5.1 update. I like it so far. Feels very snappy and I have the SD option. So I'm happy right now. If anyone comes up with a Rom for Twrp, I will revert back to stock KitKat and root. (The newly redone Grand X Max plus boot animation sign is cool also)

I can't seem to find the option to hide the menu buttons on the bottom and use the mui floater. But pretty much the same. There's also hot spot and flashlight added!

Yea the mipop is gone but i use total launcher and it has the option to make the status and nav bars immersive so you can use the whole homescreen

I have action launcher 3. Have to check into that option if they have it. But the zte launcher is pretty smooth with nice themes.

Are you able to disable system apps with 5.1? I want to update, but I can't deal with bloatware until kingroot is updated.
I disabled a few apps like the kindle and none needed Google apps. Stock file manager, ever note and chrome browser. Few more. The stock browser is built off of dolphin browser. Flash already cooked in.

Nice, I'm sure kingroot will eventually be updated to include 5.1, but I'm going try it. I can always revert back to kitkat and root.

Same thing I said. Always go back. I like it so far. The launcher isn't bad either. One thing no more mi-pop. Have to use total launcher or another to remove navi button to achieve full screen. I like action 3 but I may try total.
