Root root cricket zte grand x max

I've made some flashable zips for system rw for the stock KitKat ROM. Before I post them publicly I need someone who is on the stock KitKat ROM with root and twrp installed to test them for me. If you are interested please message me on hangouts at mc87xda@gmail.com

Sorry, fell asleep

I'm making a new 5.1 update zip now that is pre rooted with SuperSU. I also added some lines into the script that let you know what is going on while the ROM is being installed along with a progress bar to gradually fill while the ROM is being installed. This way you know its working and it isn't just stuck. I need someone to test it.

Can this be flashed through the stock recovery or do I have to have TW RP installed and go back to 4.4.4

I'm sorry I know I keep asking this but will this rom have r/w asces to the system

Yea I updated with the update zip...is there a way to create a zip the stock recovery will read since you have all the certificates and permissions

Get it while it's hot.

If you already flashed my other 5.1 update that I posted earlier today you can just dirty flash.
If you are currently using a different ROM you need to wipe system data and cache before you flash this one.
If you already updated to 5.1 by flashing the official update I'm sorry but you will have to wait for a new root method to be found.

No the system write protection is initiated by the bootloader
It's alright I guess I won't dye I been rooted and using xposed just like this with you r/w I'm all good and thank you for explaining how to install I was about to ask. Also once I install the zip I can use xposed just like now but I have to install it by zip because of the lollipop update correct?

Unfortunately, when I modify the update zip it breaks the digital signature. The stock recovery wont flash anything that hasn't been signed by the manufacturer. Think of the zip like a cardboard box that is sealed with tamper-evident tape. You can open it and change what's inside but there is no way to un-break the seal. The digital signature is like tamper-evident tape.

If I wope system data and cache would my nandroid back get deleted sorry still new to this .
No if you select advanced wipe and wipe system data and cache it won't wipe your storage. You will see options for internal storage and SD card as long as you don't wipe those you are good.

Do you think 15% of battery is good enough from start to finish because I still have 3 more hours of work before I get home to the charger
