Thank you for confirming for me. So @softtech's problems with bluetooth are either compatibility issues or user error.I'm on pre-root stock and wifi flash, bluetooth works fine.
Assuming you are not using prerooted stock. I would flash that, and wifi flash and you should be good to go.Let's assume that I know how to do this. I've unpaired and repaired repeatedly. It did work perfectly with kitkat. Surely there must be some way to get it to work again, no?
My suggestion is this...I've done that. Are you suggesting that I do it again?
I wonder if Xposed or one of my modules is interfering....
Sometimes a phone or ROM just doesn't want to play nice with a specific app or accessory. It sounds like this is what you are experiencing since you seem to be the only one having any issues with Bluetooth. I'm sorry but I have done all that I can do to help you try to fix the issue. I didn't make the ROM (ZTE made it). I just modified the zip file so that people could flash the ROM through TWRP and not lose root. Also, I don't have a Grand X Max+. My only ZTE device that works is a ZMAX that has been patched so that kingroot won't work(which I am currently trying to sell). At this point, you will have to choose between finding a workaround for this issue, like using an auxiliary input cable instead of Bluetooth to connect your phone to your stereo, or reverting back to the stock KitKat ROM. I wish there was more I could do to help.I did precisely as you suggested, no luck. Either I had the miserable luck of having my BlueTooth fail immediately after upgrading to Lollipop or Google and/or ZTE introduced a nasty incompatibility into the Lollipop build.
Maybe you have a different conclusion??
Sigh.
What about backing up, wipe data, uninstall and reinstall bluetooth app through titanium. Or try a different bluetooth app for lollipopI did precisely as you suggested, no luck. Honestly I doubt that uninstalling and reinstalling it will do any good. You could try clearing the app's data and see if it helps but if it didn't work after a clean flash I'm not sure it will make a difference.I appreciate all the effort, Masterchief. Obviously I knew it wasn't your fault and I know you've done everything you can to help....
Christoopherco has a pretty reasonable suggestion. Any idea where I might find the files to implement it?
I really need the kit Kat version. I've tried that....sighThere is the app shown through titanium backup. You can do the wipe, backup, uninstall and restore procedure from here. However, as MasterChief says, it may not work. But you might as well try it.
Email me at oneillchris50s@yahoo.com and I will email the files I havePerfect! With any luck....
If all else fails and 100% working Bluetooth is an absolute must for you I can make you a zip to undo everything you did by flashing to lollipop so that you can return your phone back to KitKat.Perfect! With any luck....
Put all those in priv-app folder. Good luckPerfect! With any luck....
Any of those do any good??What a pal! That's really great. I think I would probably also need org.codeaurora.bluetooth.apk. don't you think so? I would imagine that these files work together...
Really appreciate it!
Oh crap, ok ill go back to retrieve them and send them.I tried it, but without the SO files that are in /system/app/Bluetooth/lib and /system/app/BluetoothExt/lib the bluetooth apps just fail and bluetooth can't be turned on...
They definitely identify themselves as the 4.4 bluetooth files however. I'm either really, really close or there are more hurdles in the way and I can't tell which.
