Root root cricket zte grand x max

Ok I am 4.4.4 and connected to Bluetooth. These screenshots show all Bluetooth related files I could find. If you know of any other place to look, please let me know. I will stay in time warp for a while, haha

Interesting! The files that I am SURE that I need are libbluetooth_jni.so and the exact same file, apparently, in a different location. I wonder if you have two copies and/or versions of the same file.

You and MasterChief are great, just great!!

Try to clear cache and data with Bluetooth connected to any source, force stop and see if that works.. My Bluetooth showed connected but to my car stereo but wasn't showing up on the unit, I did this and it showed up instantly..

Ok I have checked manually through all folders in the system folder. You have all the files, the last of which I just sent you. They now need to be put in the proper folders to test. Let us know how it works out. If you need help where they go, I am still in 4.4.4

Yes, please tell me where they are supposed to go. My first stab was a failure.... I matched the 5.0 locations.

The two apks and odex files belong in priv-app folder. The bluetooth folder from the zip I sent belongs in etc folder. And the .so file belongs in the lib folder.

You also have to figure out which lib files go to which apk and symlink them properly in addition to having the correct permissions set for every file and folder. Lollipop is a lot more complex than KitKat. One mistake and you can cause more problems. Take the aosp keyboard for example. The apk is /system/app/LatinIME/LatinIME.apk
Then you have to put libjni_latinime.so and libjni_latinimegoogle.so inside /system/lib and set the permissions to rw-r--r--
Then you have to create symlinks for both libs that point to /system/app/LatinIME/lib/arm
Because of this you have to know exactly which lib files each apk relies on or else it won't work.
If you don't know how to decompile an apk and figure out which lib files each apk requires in order to run this can be like searching for a needle in a haystack. I hope you have a lot of spare time on your hands.

I would wipe your phone completely clean, I mean everything and start over with factory rom. Then flash preroot and wifi flash. Either that or buy another one, I think I saw they are only $160 right now. Then you would have one to experiment with. I was considering this...

I've down that - wiped completely clean and had just the factory rom, root and wifi. As far as I can tell...

So frustrating!

It pairs, but when I got to make a phone call, only the very next phone call seems to work properly unless I unpair and re-pair.

No idea why, but bluetooth seems to be working again with the stock lollipop rom. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Special thank you to Christopherco and MasterChief87. You guys rock and have been incredibly helpful!!!

I mostly wanted root for customization of my home screen but since there has been no root method for the new ota update i have had to go another route. The main thin was customizing the navbar and status bar on a system level although i have not been able to achieve that I can hide the nav and status bar and overlap the system ui using total launcher. Here is a screenshot of my home screen (to access the nav bar i simply swipe up)

That's cool. Just so there is no question... We have root for 5.1, you can customize your home screen through any launcher, I prefer Nova. Wonderful launcher. Rooting will give you access to the xposed moduals with much more power to do what you want with home screen.

Ugh. It works when it wants to and I frequently have to force it to connect for voice data to the car. So annoying!

Anyone who did the ota update can not root you lose root and the old root method no longer works, i wasnt talking about the rom masterchief created
