Root root htc evo v

Alright so I think I rooted my htc evo v like I can access the root files and it has superuser installed but when I boot into fastboot it still says s-on and the app root checker says no root access, so I don't know if I'm rooted or not. Plz help

Just by rooting, you'll stay s on until wire trick is successfully done

Update your su binaries?

If root checker says that you're not rooted chances are that you aren't. Can't remember if the stock rom has a terminal, if not just download one from the Play Store and type su, if you have root the prompt will change from $ to a # to signify that you can enter root as the superuser.
