It says it's rooted but it's not

Just out of curiosity, did u move the file after you dwnloaded it before you ran the script? When I dwnloaded a root script for a diff phone I moved it frm where it got dwnloaded to, I put it in my phone folder on my pc and ran it frm there and I had the same issues. So basically put the file bk where u originally dwnloaded it to on ur pc and run it frm there and see if tht wrks, its worth a try :).

No I just unzipped it and ran it. I've tired on several different PC's. What ever it's done I can't even download from Google Store it reboots when trying to install. I know it's not rooted because SU doesn't work and ROM Manager tells me it's not rooted.

Running Windows XP. .sh? I don't see anything. I can't access anything on the phone or download anything to access the folders. I don't see a .sh in the unzipped file.

Yeah its not pushing the files to your phone-Start anew(delete the root program and drivers from your computer, run a disk cleanup. Try disabling your User Account Controls and Antivirus-both block or corrupt the files on these types of programs sometimes).
Flying blind here BTW-I don't have a Connect-but the things mentioned above have helped with other root programs.

have you tried doing a factory reset? Do you have custom recovery installed?
Sorry I did not reply earlier, I went on vacation and did not have access to the internet. I did not have custom recovery installed and I seem to have resolved the problem. I tried your suggestion factory resetting) and it still did not work. However, I tried factory resetting again and then formatting the SD card and it seemed to have worked for me. Thank you for your help, and thanks to those who made this root possible! :) Keep up the good work!

Yes I'm using the USB cord that came with the phone. I've rebooted the computer several times. Just don't know what to do and I need this fixed

Hello,

I followed instructions to a tee...
Here is my problem,

Everything is going well and this is the message window:

Press enter to root your phone
Press any key to continue

Waiting for device...
* daemon not running. starting it now *
* daemon started successfully *
* Device found.
* Rebooting device...
* Waiting for device to reboot...
* Rebooting device again...
* Waiting for device to reboot

Any ideas on why it would stop here? My phone rebooted perfectly fine but it is not recognizing that it did so.

Thanks for any help you can give!

I thought I would try again and it now says this:

It stops here and won't do anything. Maybe I should just try try again until it gets it right?

Thanks for the quick reply!

I should also mention that the last thing it says is rebooting and it does actually reboot but nothing after that.

Thanks!

I tried again and it's now rooted! Thank you everyone for the help. :)

Good deal:thumbup:
Welcome to AF BTW TheGoodMan:)
One of the biggest battery slayers is apps running in the background. Maps is the biggest hog. Try using an app such as Gemini App Manager to configure autorun permissions. I figure why should the app be running if I'm not using it right:confused:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.seasmind.android.gmappmgr

Still trying to solve this problem anyone got any ideals?

Have you tried installing the AIO method with cwm touch?
