Lol yea im in Jersey....n i know the wifi is turned on but i dont actually have wifi in my house so it wasnt connected to anything. But just to make sure i just ran my gps while at the train station this morning with wifi off and it worked just fine. Here are the screenshots.

Yeah.. I couldn't be happier I use yelp a lot and other location based services so I'm glad it's working. Hopefully if someone else is having the issue they can test it as well.

i am at a pc now. i tried flashing agat in odin and it failed. it said can't open serial(com)port. what am i doing wrong?

So did u get it to go though?

Once u have the agat kernel flashed. Boot recovery and flash the superuser zip. Then boot the phone and you are rooted now
 
Kernels are Android Version Specific. If you flash an ICS one on a JB or GB rom your phone will not boot. You will be able to boot into the recovery that that kernel had in it and flash the correct one. Or flash one that you Made a Backup with and restore that backup.(quote by Selfelevated2)


ok noob ?? I have root (used FG31 tar) but want to try out GA10. I'm on ICS 4.0.4 with agat FI27 kernel, build FL24. will ICS to JB work?I have mobile odin can i use it?
also when I'm playing GTA vc the back of the phone(right below the flashwhere the galaxys2 logo is)gets hot , I figuer thats where the cpu is, any idea on how to slow down the heat up.
 
What I had to do was use the second kernel I quoted in my earlier post (with all the exclamation points lol). Try that kernel and see if it works :)

It depends on which ROM he is trying to flash. That one is only for aosp jellybean and he needs to follow the instructions I gave you
 
i installed the baked black bean rom, but the inverted playstore didn't install even though it said it was successful. now i'm on pacman 4.2. do you have a solution?
 
Yupp if you read the instructions on the BB thread it says not to install the inverted play store until after you boot the ROM for the first time. Or it wouldn't show up like you just said..

So bacically after flashing the ROM and gapps boot the phone then reboot to recovery and flash the inverted playstore
 
I tried pacman 4.2 the other day and it was really buggy. That's because it was just released and has vsome issues. Now the regular pacman 4.1.2 isn't buggy and is very nice. Just a heads up.
 
Yeah.. I've flashed exit onlys universal tweak package. And I've tried a different one I'll have to locate to give you a name.

Not sure if it actually helped anything because I was fine b4. But I did it because it doesn't hurt

Yea, i mean it said it was a GPS FIX, but there seemed to be a bunch of other tweaks as well ...not sure what they all acutally do lol, but im assuming the help something....i think the last one was like V1.7 or something like that.
 
Yeah tried that too... It won't hurt anything.

Use the 1.7 universal version...
You can see the tweaks it adds With a root explorer

Just go in Etc/init d and there are the tweak

Did you notice anything note worthy? i really dont understand what the tweaks are lol Ive never did anything with coding.

I also had a question about MMS, i tried to post on your original OP for the mms fix, but its closed....I did the changes but i still cant get it to work....the only this is that I picked the circle next to the third choice by accident intead of clicking on the words to edit only so on mine that 3rd choice is checked off...did that mess anything up?
 
I just pmed u what worked for someone else. They had to flash the cm9 MMS fix zip then change the things I put in the MMS fix thread.. I added the MMS fix zip to that op as an optional step. BC I've never had to use it
