[Root One Stop Shop]Roms, Kernels ect..

Google voice isn't the speech to text app. It is for making phone calls from a Google phone number. Check you language and input settings.

Well im on PAC in black and love it! How do i get the latest prl update on here?

BTW Bluetooth and voice text work fine now :]

You can't update prl or profile on aosp.. but all of us are on the same prl with boost unless u manually change it. Aosp ussually shows less signal but its got just as good signal even tho the bars say low signal.

Well im back on the ftw rom and made sure to update prl and the speeds are great. So maybe could try it again u think it will work?

I tried the Blu Kuban on my Boost s2 but went back to stock for a few reasons. I know there is nothing wrong with Blu Kuban, and coming from the Sprint s2 I know these problems should not exist.

1.Any music I played through any stock tw app froze at least twice every time.

2. Some apps, especially games would stutter, making me lose. Games like Temple Run 2, Subway Surfers and Tower Defense.

3. In settings, some things that should have been applied, like "developer options" settings were not applied. Since things aren't applied in settings, I can only imagine what it's like behind the scenes in all tweaks in init.d and such.

This is not meant to discourage us from using e4gt roms on boost, but it confirms that even though boost s2 and sprint s2 are nearly identical, there must be something preventing the rom from fully applying its tweaks, settings, etc.

Any ideas?

I know it is hard to find these bugs without a sprint s2, but compared to the stock boost roms the bugs should be apparent.

They weren't for me. The phones are the exact same thing, the only difference the service provider. The only difference I ever noticed was in data speed if i wasn't on a repacked stock kernel (for some reason the agat kernel we used to root would bork data speeds). I have long since left ICS behind and went to JB, and even then I am using the Sprint labeled one.

Mind if I ask? Why are you using the Sprint labeled rom? Which repack you using? I hear bad things about the updated 3.0/2.0 repacks which is why I haven't gone that route.

Also I've only flashed Kuban so I can't talk about other roms.

Why not? It is not like you have to run a boost labeled one. I have been running it since it first leaked and, it runs smooth as silk. Besides, I don't need to do a lateral flash just to have to remove bloatware all over again. Version 0.1.0 of the recovery kernel runs just fine.

all right... now i'm scared. my phone won't get out of the firmware error screen. i manage to get it to the downloading custom screen by holding the volume down button and power button for a while. the problem that happened was I woke up today running pac in black. and my phone was completely unresponsive and my light was blinking purple? like WTF? so im trying to figure things out. I take my battery out and turn phone back on. it would not leave the samsung galaxys sII screen so it wasn't loading my rom. i took battery back out. then I tried to run my custom recovery. that didn't do anything but got froze on the screen again so i'm like ****!!!!!!!! I then decide to pull out my laptop and try to reinstall my phone back to original factory state. well, now that didn't work and now my phone either stays on the firmware error screen please attach to kies or something like that. and if its not on that screen when I force it to download mode it stays there. good thing is... my computer odin can detect my phone. kies could also but can not fully connect to it says error connecting to device. I already tried to install factory boost 31 on my phone but the odin gets stuck at recovery... or kernal. WTH is going on? PLEASE HELP

I'm getting a notification for a system update fh29. How do i update without losing everything or turn update off? Is the update worth it?

did you just get your phone? and did you root yet? If you havent rooted yet, just let it update you won't loose anything. You are on an old version of ICS (FG31) if FH29 is your update.

Well you can unroot your phone and let it update. Besides FH29, your phone will update two more times to FI22 and FL24. Then you could root again. A better option you can upgrade to the official Jelly Bean GC01. That has to be a wired update (done via connection to the PC) due to size. As far as loosing everything that is easy to avoid even if you do the more direct route of just flashing a full restore rooted GC01. Sync your contacts to a google account and Google play remembers apps you have purchased and you can just download them again, or get Titanium backup and backup your user apps to sd card and restore. I do recommend GC01 over any of the ICS ones (much better performance)
