Root root,s-off,simunlock,superCID htc merge

Thanks Scotty Amon actualy worked but i dont find unless apps in SU app. how can i uninstall useless apps from my cell with the help of SU app?

And which CM is Better for merge?

No I am not having problems still I now have everything up and running. I do have a question. My phone is a verizon model and I used the verizon custom rru. I am thinking about using the gingerbread rru now. So my phone is rooted do I have to go through the whole process again to flash the gingerbread custom rru or can I just skip to what step?

you can use titanium backup,my back up pro,or any number of apps to freeze or remove your unwanted software. my advice is to only remove a couple at a time,and make a backup every time you delete something so that if you inadvertantly delete something that has an undesirable affect on something else,its easy to restore to a fairly current state and you wont need to start over from the beginning

as for what cm is better,thats your choice. just read whats working,whats not,and see wich better suits your needs :)

once youve completed this process,youre good to go! you never have to doo all this again,your phone will stay s off and supercid until you purposely change those things.

Ok that is great. I am having problems getting on the 3g network and it is driving me crazy. I have read online that in the US that 3g only works on CDMA but that cant be because my simple feature phone is a gsm phone and it had 3g. I upgraded to a smart phone plan and used the apn settings for the 3g network from AT&T. I am on customer service right now but I dont think they can help me.
 
hey scotty the links for the gingerbread rom's seem to be broken. Is there one you can recomend? FYI by the time i hear back from you I may have a bricked merge lol I am downloading one from usc right now and I am going to attempt to flash it to my phone. I dont know what it will screw up but worst case I hope i can just use recovery to fix everything as I did a nand backup but I really have no idea what I am doing.
 
What problem are you having a? If you can still get to bootloader and recovery, it's likely you are not bricked
 
lol no nothing like that i actually didnt do anything at all. I cant find a us cellular gb leaked rom. I can get one from us cell site but it is an exe and I dont want to do that. I just want to get the one you have linked to at the beginning of this thread but the link is broken and I cant find another download location.
 
Aaaah,gotcha. Have you tried different browsers maybe? All those links are mine, and should be fine... I will check them when I get home this evening and if something has happened, I will reupload for you. So fear not, it is not gone forever,lol
 
actually all of the links for all of the custom ruu are broken. Even the vzw one i dowloaded the other day. I ended up using usc exe and it put my phone back to stock usc so now i cant use my at&t card and I dont even have recovery by pushing vol down and power so I am going to have to go through everything again but all in good time lol

oooh i see whats happened... they switched their main server and all the files are still there,but the links have changed slightly.

ok thank you very much and all i have to do since my s-off is good is install recovery and su and then rename the upgrade to PD42IMG and i should be good right?
 
The upgrade ruu has recovery installed allready,so you won't need to re install it. Just flash Su after you're done.

You don't need to do anything to install the ruu,except rename as you said,and install it :)
 
ok well i think that i somehow damaged my simcard while i was doing all of this crap today. I made a backup before i started i left my sim card in the whole time and after updating to the gb usc rom i was not getting service. I restored from my backup and still no service. That sucks i guess i will go and buy a new sim card and anyone doing this please remember to remove your sim. Scotty thank you for all of your help. you must have the patience of a monk. I am sure I will be picking your brain again after i get a new sim.
 
i think all links are fixed,except for stock nTelos,wich has for some reason disapeared :eek: ill have to reupload thAT one later

Hey Scottyy! thanks man. i flashed Cm11 which is kitkat and its working quiet fine except video cam, cam flash and some times music player crushes else every thing fine. im quiet enjoying Cm. :) thanks alot for your help man. i will come back if wil have any question. :)

I'll be back here again. I now have a MERGE of telos, and it turns out you get to step 5. when I try to make the hboot downgrade for me says:
cid incorrect update fail press power to reboot
I use fre3vo for temp root and try to create a new gold card and does the same.
who can help me

The cid error is due to an incorrectly made goldcard. Are you making it manually or trying to use a tool?

I use gold card creator, with micro sd card of 2gb, the web for the patch

Ok so here is what I have going on now. My phone will not find any network except on cdma mode. My hboot screen shows the wrong date and the phone gives me a warning about the time and date being wrong but it is actually right. I tried to flash back to stock RUU and noting will fix it. This all started when I used us cell program to update my phone to gingerbread. I tried with two different sim cards that I can verify work. Any ideas scotty? I can give you whatever info you need just let me know. Thank you so much in advance i am pulling my hair out. and by the way I am getting good at flashing the phone and using the adb shell now lol.

Is your sim working in other devices? I assume you've switched the mode to gsm ;)

Some merges seem to need to have a certail vzw radio installed to pick up local gsm networks. If I remember correctly,its the one from the vzw downgrade ruu. Im on my tablet ATM,ill try and find it for you later. If you search back thru the thread I know its been mentioned before.

Last time I messed with my merge,I had a.similar(maybe same,lol) issue and just had to flash the old vzw radio. You could also try just installing the entire downgrade ruu.

edit:
had a couple minutes at the PC,and did some quick seatching. maKE sure youve changed to gsm only as described in this post

also,i did verify the radio you want is the one from the vzw dowgrade 1.23.605.1 ruu. radio version 1.06.00.0910
