I was wondering if anyone knows any themes for rubix 1.9.5 and how to operate the 3g hack?

also there is a 3g hotspot hack in the tbh app but i know at one point it did not work on rubix ..i dont know if that is still the case though

it does work on rubix now for me.
to the OP, if you dont want to use the TBH hack, just start the hotspot, go to the dialer, dial *#*#6436#*#*, hit send, turn the radio off then back on, and it'll work.
Is this different than the wireless tether for root? Also, do you have to do this each time you want to use the hotspot?

Sundown if you wouldnt mind could u give me instructions on how to do it, more detailed i mean, if you dont mind that is. I got rubix up and the 3g hotspot app i just dont know how to do it.

i think the hack is built into the latest rubix just start it up and it should work, did for me anyways
Yes, this is different from the wireless tether option. The wireless tether option creates an Ad Hoc connection that a single device can connect to the phone and use the data connection. Some devices (like most Apple devices) cannot connect using the Ad Hoc method.
The Hotspot app allows you to set the phone up as an access point. This allows multiple devices to connect at the same time, and virtually any device can connect using this method.
The hack allows you to use the Verizon Mobile Hotspot app normally, but without having to pay the extra $20 per month. But it does need to occur everytime you start the Hotspot service. Basically the hotspot service will connect to Verizon as designed when opened and requires the $20 service. But if you turn off the antennas, it forces the app to close the original connection and reconnect. When this reconnection occurs, it doesn't require the extra $20 subscription.
Bottom line is if you are only connecting a single device, and the wireless tether method works for you, then there is little to nothing gained by using the hotspot app. But if you need to connect a device that cannot use an Ad Hoc connection, or if you need to connect several devices, then the Hotspot app and hack is great.
