HMMM, looks like I need to do some reading over at XDA then. There might be something going on here that hasn't made it to the OP.

Also, you've got some serious "marbles" to go crackin off a S-on / S-off stunt like that. :p:D

Now you've got serious "brick finger" from holding the power button during the Un-brick process. I know I did. ;)

@OP, if I read anything over at XDA that is relevant, I'll bring it back over here. :)

I'm not going to comment or get involved in RUUs, but I don't believe that you ever flashed or restored correctly from 2.4.1.

Unless you took the last update via OTA where your touchscreen in recovery went out due to HTC's update, then and then certainly you need TWRP 2.4.1.

Question EM, does the Firmware need to be updated to run the 2.4.0 /2.4.1 TWRP?

Just curious since he's on the 3.15 OTA Firmware.
 
I am going to try one more time to flash a stock rooted ROM to see if I get paste the lock screen.
 
I feel like the biggest friggin moron ever. For some reason I thought I was on 3.15 from the information in the "about phone" tab under settings...but when I just now go to run the 3.15 RUU it tells me I'm on 3.16, now what do I do?

3.16 was what I used when i had troubles as well doing the facepalm method.

Stay on TWRP 2.4.1 and try to flash a stock rooted rom after verifying its MD5 after download would be my guess.

Or I guess I could try installing the 3.16 ViperROM instead of the 3.15 ViperROM I have been trying to use.

Yes, this would be a good idea. If you're on the 3.16 firmware by OTA, you need to stick with 2.4.1.0 TWRP and only flash Stock Sense based roms for the time being.

The new OTA has some Touch Panel updates to the Firmware that make 2.4.1 TWRP a necessity. Until HTC releases the kernel source code, Stock based Sense roms will be your only option. AOSP roms won't work unfortunately. :(
 
Flashing Viper 3.16 as we speak. The thing I can't figure out is if this is my problem how I was able to run the 3.15 ROM while I was really on 3.16
 
Well that didn't work either...I can't get the ring to move on the lock screen. I have no idea what to do at this point.

Yes, this is the same issue I had multiple times before. Now all the phone is doing is every 10 seconds or so it turns on the the lock screen then goes off...I can't get passed the lock screen.
 
And you did a full wipe from within the installer?

If yes, re-install again without wiping, aka, a dirty flash.

You're installing from internal or external sd card?
