Samsung Fascinate Lounge

Yeah, my wife really likes TW, I'm not much of a fan. As soon as I saw it I knew who Samsung was targeting with it though (iPhone crowd, as you said). I suppose it works well enough but I like stock Android more.

Now if only a phone would come stock with LP or ADW...

BTW, every time I glance at your username I think of "Ninjitsu"...

Holy crap, I only now saw that his name wasn't that.

And we could all do our civic duty and go around to Verizon stores installing LP/ADW on the floor models. And uninstall any crap on them. I wonder if you can root them..*evil laugh*

I know several people that went around rooting the og droid . Lol caused quite the stir when they came on here annoucing what they did. I believe frisco gave that guy a stern talking too. Lol

Eep. Don't hurt me Frisco! I would find it fun in a 'see if I can do it without them noticing' way, but giving a floor phone where complete morons have access to it and can now really screw it up seems like a horrible idea.

BTW Raptor, I downloaded the Sense clock app and thus far I really like it! Wish it didn't use MSN for the weather but that's a minor annoyance.

has anybody else's local vzw store gone to dummy models instead of real phones? mine just did, and i was a bit irratated. vzw was one the few providers that let you actually use a real phone and not stare at a fake piece of garbage

Unless they did it in the past 2-3 weeks we've still got the real deal here. Dummy phones make no sense, let me try the real phone, I don't want to imagine how it works! They don't make their money on the phones anyways, that's why they can afford to give 'em away cheap/free. It's the plan that earns them their bucks. Who cares if a little kid breaks a Droid 2 every month.

Really. I know that beautiful widgets uses Accuweather and google. I'm not sure what weather and toggle widget uses but I don't think its msn. Those are the two I use.

I downloaded "Sense Analog Clock Widget 24" by Factory Widgets (it was free) and it had me type in my "weather code" that I got off of MSN Weather's website. A little annoying but other than that it seems to work well.

I saw the Beautiful Widget but figured I'd try the free clock first.

Do a search for "Sense clock" and it's like the 4th one on the list. If you get a chance (since you have Beautiful Widget's version) download it and compare.

I shall once I get the opportunity. I highly recommend the other two I listed though. They do cost money...but are finally worth it! Especially with all the skins you can get.

Is your store a corporate store or and indirect. All indirects have dummy phones. maybe corporate moved out and indirect moved in.

its a corporate vzw in our mall, been there for years and always had real ones. ill have to drop by the other corporate one (which is actually right by the mall but in its own building and see.....its crap if that one did too

I don't think corporate stores do "inside the mall" I would ask them if they are corporate or indirect. (they may actually feed you some line about being just like a corporate store, or we can do anything they can do)I actually work for an indirect agent of verizon wireless. It will say Verizon Wireless on all the stuff but will say something like "authorized agent" or "premium retailer" in small white letters underneath the Verizon Wireless. There are several indirects in my area. They all look and feel like corporate stores, but they aren't.

But what you are saying may also be true. That would suck from a customers stand point, but for me that just puts us on a more level playing field with a corporate store.

Yeah, as far as I know every VZW store inside a mall is non-corporate. We have an indirect store in the mall and a corporate store right next door.

ill look closer next time, i never assumed it wasnt a corporate store as they have tech support there, the payment kiosks etc, and is identical to the giant corporate store across the street, down to the layout, except 1/3 the size  ill check next time im there
