It's going to be 82 and humid on thanksgiving, this makes me sad :(
Hah thats funny Im going to have just the opposite of your 82 with 28 and light snow. I sense some extra logs on the fire and a few more helpings of mashed taters with gravy to keep me warm

yeah like Kaessa too I know we all have multiple tabs open at once. So its understandable. Actually I thought you were just trend setting  so *saps forgives nitsuj17 ;). Lets just not bring any trout slapping into AF :p
Its silly how much we're there instead of here now. Im actually trying to pull myself back here a bit more. Funny thing is it seems like Im not on the IRC much which I suppose Im not, but dang I do a lot of PM stuff there

It just got changed. You have to have at least 25 posts to have a signature. We have had a rash of sig spammers recently which prompted the change.

I thought that might be what was going on, especially after I saw that my CP was different from the screenshot posted. To be honest, I'm glad it's that way. I hate Spam in all of its forms, so having to post 25 times before I can get a sig is no big deal. Thanks for the reply OMJ

Yeah I went from a 50+ posts per day average and now its less than 40 which is to say Im probably averaging 5-6 a day here the past week, some of that is work, some is family and some is IRC.
And and some is the weather, oh Im so glad Im going outside in 10 minutes:rolleyes:

At this rate saps is going to catch me in post count by the end of the year. ;)
Nah, I've backed way off in recent weeks, I was dropping 50 a day in here the first 6-7 weeks but recently its way way down. Oh well, never concerned myself with post count much, reputation is what counts. People with much lower post counts have even higher degrees of respect

Happy Turkey Day everyone! :D

^nitsuj, how's the latest voodoo working? CWM work okay? Any other problems? I know you still can't access through adb, correct? I might end up flashing it later tonight :)

I'm liking new voodoo a lot so far. I think the lagging I noticed on regular dj05 kernels is a thing of. The past.

Still restore and recovery adb is what I'm anxiously awaiting

The Captivate is a wonderful device, but a few things are keeping me away:

1. Battery Life: Not very good, even when settings were maximized. Do Android 2.2 and/or 2.3 improve battery performance?

2. Android OS: Is Froyo currently available on the Captivate? When will Gingerbread be released for Captivate and what are its major feature/performance differences, improvements, etc.?

3. eMail: How can Captivate be configured to keep ALL eMail (like the BlackBerry) instead of deleting older mail automatically as new mail is downloaded? I need the flexibility to delete whatever eMail I want when I want and from where I want (be it the handset, server or both). For example, I need to be able to search for an eMail no matter how old it is. Why is BlackBerry the only phone offering this capability? This seems like an eMail storage issue instead of anything proprietary to the BB eMail system. Also, prefer to use the phone's stock eMail client because it's tough to know which 3rd party providers will be around tomorrow...

4. Contact Management: I see obvious advantages of using a Google account to synch contacts and calendars between computer and phone, but is this safe? What software-based options are there (without needing an Internet connection)?

Hope you can help!

Well for starters we don't have captivates we have fascinates so not everything translates.

I will say battery life is excellent for me and many others

Wow this sucks, waking up at mignight after falling asleep at 8pm due to overeating blood sugar crash. Chances of me falling asleep again before sunrise 30% :(
