Help Samsung Moment 2 wishlist

I LOVE my Samsung Moment so don't get me wrong. But I'll be looking for a different form factor for my next Android phone (change for the sake of change LOL), the Evo looks very intriguing!!

agreed, i think if they put a 3.7" "super amoled" screen (for a bit more thinness) a cortex-based 800+ processor, and simple led notification the moment...well would kinda be like the droid but better lol
 
whats wrong with samsung again? they are taking a long time to get 2.1 to their devices?

from what i can tell the only phones to get 2.1 after they already came out are moto phones.. which already had 2.+ on them.

so is HTC any better?

or motorola for that matter? moto released the devour with 1.6 after they already had two phones out with 2.+ on them.

there is a very good possibility that the moment will be either the first or second phone with an update that goes from 1.x to 2.1
 
I personally have no beef with samsung but the posts above show that some don't particualarly care too much for Samsung.
 
I'm not at all disappointed in Samsungs 2.1 release time frame (so far), but it will take a near perfect update to wash out the taste of the take-it-back-to-the-shop CL14 crap sandwich that Samsung gave us. Call it holding a grudge if you must, but I don't forget being treated like like an afterthought and I don't get over it easily.
 
I got lucky because my first moment bricked due to quick profiles and they gave me a new one for free that had the CL14 upgrade already on it lol.

Btw, can anyone with good estimating powers tell whether or not this screen is bigger than the 3.2 one we have now?

Opened up the pic in an image processor and blew it up to approx the same actual size as my Moment. Unless the phone is slightly longer than the current Moment, then no. The width is the exact same regardless, and the length appears to be the exact same though it's difficult to be precise due to the angle of the photo.
 
Has to be one of the dullest sequels I've seen in a long time. Reminds me of Palm going from the 600 to 650 to 700 to 755...lame. And they share the fascination with bezels which I just don't get. If you're supposed to be showcasing DTV, why would you stick with the same lame size screen in the big brick of a phone. Call the Galaxy Pro boring and iphonish, but slap a keyboard on it like they did it the mockups and I'd take it over the Moment 2 any day of the week. And I'm sure there is nothing upgrade worthy under the hood either. And who would want TouchWiz? Looks annoying from what I've seen.

I'd love to turn to HTC, but they look like they have zero interest in keyboard phones anymore. Just go to their site and look at the lopsided stable of phones they have and when they were released. All these cookie cutter slate phones and not a keyboard in site. A Galaxy Pro S would be huge winner if the keyboard was solid. I see zero reason to upgrade to the Moment 2. Evo it is, keyboard or no keyboard.
 
Can I still play?

1.) I don't think anyone mentioned this but you will probably thank me for this........ An easily accessible SD card slot!!!! PLEASE!!!

2.) Ability to play several video formats.

3.) a keyboard with a up,down,left,right,ok on the left side for gaming purposes, similar to the motorola cliq, but with same amount of buttons as current moment keyboard.

4.) offcourse, Flash support

5.) Fixed battery meter

6.) a "phone mode" button, so if i need to make a call or answer one, it automatically puts Dialer processes to top priority so that when i push talk or end call, it will happen instantly not 3 or 4 seconds later.
