Root SBC Kernel

I am running the latest Swagged Out(Swag on) Rom. What is a SBC kernel I can run. I have never done it but am fed up with the instant drop in battery life.

Currently only the aosp roms have sbc kernels.

Gingerbread Sense
Freedom (Aggressive, More havs, Less havs, stock)
Chop Suey
Stock HTC Kernel

Gingerbread AOSP
Stock Cyanogenmod kernel
Tiamat (3.3.7 is widely considered the best AOSP kernel, bar none

and like RX said later in the thread, golden monkey and poon sense.

you can get decent battery life with one of the sense kernels and using setcpu to pick and interactive or smartass governor or either setting an underclocked screen off profile.

Correct.

Just unplug your phone and use it for ~5 minutes playing a game or something that will drain the battery below 90% and then just top it off. As soon as the light turns green your at 100% and you wont have any drop off.

too, there is the battery calibration app you can run that sets 100% at the phone's actual top charge.

and it seems that the devs are now staying away from sbc kernels all together. not sure why. but all the devs in the 3vo community at least refuse to do sbc kernels. they do not give any explanation. fortunately for you evo users, if you are on aosp, then you can use the best kernel that i have found and that is tiamat sbc kernels. they rock!

I find it odd that they are all so anti SBC. Maybe it's just a pain to dev for?
