Root [SCRIPT]DM for CM7/CTMOD [UPDATE 2/10]

That's the whole reason I ended up digging up the 2.7 it kept saying not allowed in demo version. I even got creative and added it to cdma's prl folder under the same demo name as the test one and it wouldn't do it. Now when I tried to run the demo it says your trial is up.

Basically all you have to do is check your com ports in Windows device ma...

Thank you slayer I did try all of that with no luck. Neither qpst or cdma would read phone. I can connect but it gets stuck after that.

I noticed your other post. I couldn't set password either.

Hello, I was having the same issue as everyone, failed to connect..After selecting the script, click the SU box on the top and then enable DM and the phone will properly connect then go into CDMA.... i just changed my PRL without a hitch after selecting that option....giving script manager SU prior does nothing FYi hope this helps....

Dont forget to enter your msl and send this.. also unlocks some part of the phone... :) i forgot this and the prl didnt stick. Use terminal emulator. Su enter type exactly getprop ril.MSL ....BOOM MSL good luck

WooooooHoooooo!!! Just used this to change PRL to 11119. SWEET!

It seems to work great on EJ06. Those that have FA19 will encounter problems though. I don't know why either lol. Has to be some changes to the drivers.

Really wish they would make it easier to access the hiddenmenu sometimes ;)

Ya I am having the same problem as Gray Wolf. I just tried changing my baseband back to EJ06 and still a no go.

Did you Odin to stock ej06? Then you can follow the instructions on http://androidforums.com/galaxy-prevail-all-things-root/460182-1984kbps-speedtest-net-results-after-couple-tweaks.html

That is what worked for me.

And worth it :)

When I want to change my PRL, I usually ODIN back to froyo change it. Seen your script and decided to try it out. (I'm using CTMod 3.5.). I loaded script but when I get to security part on CDMA Workshop(full version) i get an error, like what you describe in 1st post about security code not being sent. Tried changing ports like you recommended . Think I tried about 6 or 7 different ones before giving up. No big deal...I'll just do it the hard way, right?
So I ODIN back to froyo, change my DM mode to USB reboot phone(never was sure if reboot was needed i just do it anyways). Connect with CDMA workshop and then tried to send security and got the same message about code not being sent to phone. I've done this a lot of times, going back and forth between PRLs trying to find which worked best for me, and this has never happened. Any ideas on what to do?

I am trying the DFS now the port opens and then when I try to send the SPC it it says searching device and goes no further.

Edit: Tried Qpst as well, same issue.

Yeah I remember seeing that thread. Tried that way and it didn't work for me. It wouldn't connect no matter what I did.

I will admit it's extremely odd that some people can get it with CDMA, some with QPST and some with DFS. I wonder if it has to do with the phone hardware depending on whether the user has an older model or new one.

Still thanks for posting this IMonster should help out some more folks.

This script works for me now and is great.

Before when it wasn't working:

CTMod3.5 fa19 -wouldn't work, keep in mind I had never changed my prl before on any rom.

Odin back to stock ej06
dialed ##8778# enter msl #, select usb
dialed ##7678# enter msl #, select dm
connected phone to pc
ran CDMA Workshop as administer
CDMA made sure port # matched device manager
click connect
click read --wait 10 seconds for a popup warning to countdown
security tab - click samsung (default) click send
other tab - prl section click write (pick the prl you have downloaded on pc)
close out choosing yes to save.

Now whether in CTMod 3.5 or CM7 I can use the script. I can tell it is working because I already have my phone connected to the pc and when I run the script and type e to enable my phone disconnects from my pc and reconnects. A nice audible to tell me something is happening. lol.

Maybe because I had never accessed it before it wouldn't work? I dunno, just trying to be helpful to someone who might be having trouble and is reading this thread. Reading the instructions it said when on froyo enter ##8778# and when on Gingerbread enter ##7678#. I just did them both.

in ctmod 3.6 there is a download option after longpressing power button which takes you to yellow dowloading screen is that the same place i need to be to change my prl

No. You will use Script Manager. When you open the app, you will go to the script from Monster that you have already put on your sd card and tap it. Then you will tap on the SU at the top of the Script Manager then you will tap run. You will then choose to enable the script. After you have done that, go in to Device Manager on your PC and it should be listed under the ports or COMS. Just find out which COM your phone is on and make sure that you set CDMA workshop on the correct COM.

Open CDMA Workshop and select the serial port for your phone (In device manager, under Com ports, or Serial Ports, or something containing one of those words in the name, you might have to check the advanced tab for the device itself)

Click Connect

Under the security tab, Select Samsung (Sprint) for password (Samsung (Universal) on older versions of CDMA Workshop)

Click Send

Select the "OTHER" Tab, click WRITE in the PRL box

Browse to the PRL file you downloaded elsewhere and select it. It should tell you that is has successfully been written. If it doesn't, the PRL you are using won't work.

After you have followed the directions for using CDMA, you will just close the CDMA window. A window will pop up after you hit the X to close the window, select YES and it will close and your phone will reboot. You will then be able to go in to your phone settings to see if the PRL was written correctly.

I can't connect mine at all.
Cdma just doesn't get my phone. XP

For some reason I've read that several people have had a problem with getting CDMA to work. I've never had the issue. Maybe someone with more experience with CDMA can help answer the question as to why it will not connect.
