Root Sense Hero 2.1 ROM for ROOT Fully Working

Wow, that's pretty extreme. My phone used 6% over 8 hours of sleep.... One thing to avoid is probably the GPS, which I've heard a lot of people claim is responsible for the power drain. I switched it off, rebooted and haven't activated it since.

is it possible to get rid of some of the installed applications? like peep or one of the calendars?

Thanks

On Stickmans ROM? YOu could always ask him on the other forum.

Also, has anyone opted to go for live wallpapers instead of 3D gallery? How's it running?

Put this on this morning and can only find 2 problems.

1) if i send a long message it gets broken up into separate ones on the recievers phone

2) im not getting any notification of any voicemails. I get the missed call icon and if i ring my voicemail i can listen to it but no notification on the phone that i had one to begin with

I used this for a few days, but it was too flakey. Ended up with nothing that used location services working (the location services were constantly crashing), and SenseUI was crashing pretty frequently. A reboot fixed things for a while, but they all crept back. Also the mms splitting problems and other quirks like GPS not locking on, 3G problems, Wifi problems, beeb player not working, FriendStream crashing on start etc etc.

Sense2.1 v2 certainly has promise, but right now I am running Villian 5.3 (with the exact same radio firmware) and things seem much more stable and complete.

A new version is due out based on the behnaam droid eris official leak, may be worth a look at when Stickman has finished it

Anyone can advice if this rom support App2sd? I partition after flashing it but seems that the apps are installed into the internal memory. Did I miss out any patch for it?

Many Thanks in advance

Just flashing to SenseHero 2.1 V2 now. If i dont like this or want to revert back (I was on MoDaCo 3.2) all i have to do is flash back the previous rom and then restore my nandroid backup correct?

Nope, just do the nandroid restore; they contain absolutely everything saved on the internal memory, including the firmware.

doing nandroid restore now. The new rom loaded but i just got the Sense force closing and therefore couldnt to anything other than turn phone on or off. I might give it another shot later. Any ideas what could cause the sense to force close?

Did you do a full wipe etc..? I have found that rooting and flashing isnt a exact science so if you try a couple of time most likely you will nail it..

I did do a full wipe (according to the bootloader screen) but it still left some of my dad on the SD card (or is it just wiping internal memory?)

yeah just ur internal data, although you can format your sd card aswell, but prior to that make sure you move your nandroid & titanium backups to a pc...

Try the wipe again, if not do a nandroid restore then a reflash, it took a couple of goes for me to get it working so just keep at it.

Are you using v2.1 v2?
