I know it's not proper but i went through and rerooted phone and the this on my phone with factory reset worked out for me just wasn't feeling like backing up since i used shabby's 4.1.2 jb tar to reset my phone last month figures I'd give it a no wipe flash always worked on the esteem for me and 3 manual reboots with no issues

Hold the "back" soft button down for a second or so. It'll pop up.
If not, go into your settings menu and make sure it's enabled.

The kernel it comes with works great.
Ive read that others have used a kernel made for uscellular S3s...their S3 is closest to ours but I havent tried it with metropolis, only uscellular roms.
That said...there are no custom touchwiz kernels available specifically for our phone at this time.

I have been running the USCellular kernel since I flashed this bad boy and no issues so far.Loving the ROM/Kernel combination you guys should give it a try, you wont be dissapointed.

Just something else neat I discovered with shabbys volume track skip mod is u can also do it via samsung head phones just long press up or down.

Ok so I downloaded 1.2.0 today itried this version like 2 weeks ago and it kept saying failed even after data wipe cahe wipe and dalvik is there a certain way to flash it or is the file just not liking my phone?

I would try downloading the rom again. If you downloaded with 4g try with wifi. Or try in a pc if you can. Also what was the failed message?

Oh...im sorry I missunderstood you...yes in that case try the first download. That one has long sms to mms conversion Disabled. Try the second too if you like...its from Metropolis so it converts long sms to mms but with extra features. Maybe that will work too. Cause if I'm understanding you...you cant send any long sms...it doesnt split it or convert it to mms. Is that right?
