Shipping date speculation

Haha you guys crack me up. Me, I'm simple. I want. End of story. Forget the wait, I'd take it now if I could :D
 
Just wondering has anyone considered ordering from Staples since they state a specific shipping window if you order before July 10? Is their any downsides?

I ordered mine from Google on July 3rd so I guess I will be pretty down on the list. I am taking a business trip at the end of the month and am hoping to get it before then :) since I officially traded in my 64GB ATT iPad2 at Best Buy today; bitter sweet moment.
 
Hoping this rumor is true and it would make sense if the other rumor about Google pushing a "fixed" version of JB to the GNex this coming week is true. Get all of that JB out there quickly!

Glad I've been peeking in on these threads though. Reading the stories about having to change this or that on accounts and missing shipping dates or having orders get cancelled made me realize that the renewed credit card I just activated the other day is the one set as my default card on my Wallet account. That could have been a very disappointing outcome if I hadn't updated the info. :( Fingers crossed, I think I got it fixed in time as I don't want to wait any longer than I have to! :p (I used to work outdoor retail a long time ago and it was always an excruciating wait for your pro deal purchases to come in. I feel like I'm back in those days now.)
 
Well, I still have my tablets to hold me over and JB ROMs to flash on my Nexus, so I'll be fine.
Plus side is more time for Devs to get their hands on cooking up some great ROMs for the N7 before I get mine! :D

Yeah but dread, I would be far ore patient waiting on roms with a Nexus 7 in my hands.
 
I can't imagine it will take too long for the devs to get up to speed as this is only an incremental update as opposed to the wholesale changes between GB and ICS. Maybe project butter will slow some kernel dev (I'm no dev so I could be totally wrong).
 
I love the wait for new toys or new software updates theres the big buzz, then what i like the most is then deflation when people will start posting it dosent do this or that, or they have missed this etc.:)

A lot of veterans in here that have had many devices. I'm pretty sure we know what we are getting.

Are you awaiting a preorder as well?
 
I pre-ordered on the day it's announced. So I am getting my pitchfork and torch out of the closet just in case.

Thankyou, yep certainly am, :), on paper and from the utube video's its looking like a nice tablet at great price
 
I preordered mine day 1 as well. I also made a vow to myself that I would never buy a non-Nexus device again if I can help it..not sure how much of a reality that is though since there's a slim chance VZW will carry the next line haha
