Shipping date speculation

I preordered mine day 1 as well. I also made a vow to myself that I would never buy a non-Nexus device again if I can help it..not sure how much of a reality that is though since there's a slim chance VZW will carry the next line haha

I basically told myself the same thing, if Verizon doesn't get the next Nexus (and quite frankly they don't deserve it), I will be looking at quad-core HTC devices by that time.
 
I love the wait for new toys or new software updates theres the big buzz, then what i like the most is then deflation when people will start posting it dosent do this or that, or they have missed this etc.:)

Actuilly its been stressing the crap out of me
 
Note I received from Google:

Once you place an order, charges generally post to your credit/debit card within a few days. Though you'll immediately see an authorization for the hold of funds for your purchase, the charge won't be applied until your item has shipped.

Check your receipt in the Purchase History section of your account to see if your card has been charged or the exact date your credit/debit card was charged for your purchase.

Preorders will begin shipping in mid-July, though at this time I
 
Best Buy and Future Shops Canada have both posted Pre-Orders, both providing a date of July 10th :)
 
So I woke up this morning to a shipping notification. I dont recall ordering anything besides the Nexus 7. My google wallet account doesnt show any changes but my credit card has been charged the amount for the nexus.. Anyone else with any shipment notifications

Alright guys here's what I'm thinking. If Staples and Best Buy, and I'm talking US, not Canada, list that their getting their stock on the 10th and shipping by the 13th, that means we'll likely get ours on the 10th, because they're receiving their shipment straight from Google/Asus, and if we ordered from the Play Store, so are we. If you ordered from a retailer, there's a "middle man" which will likely delay it a few days. So based on that delay, and based on the dates given by the US retailers (if those are even right), then I'd say it's a good chance ours will arrive tomorrow or the day after. Chances are that I'm completely wrong but that's just what I'm thinking (and hoping deep down inside :D )

In my case it will be checking out a Toshiba Excite 10 AT305, which seems to be getting very little attention by comparison, but will arrive in the next day or two.

Well, you haven't been waiting that long, and you have another toy to play with :D . I ordered launch day so it feels much longer for me :D
 
So I just had my own chat with customer services. I think I said in the other thread, but my stored address in google wallet was wrong; it looked like I had entered it on my phone and auto correct had screwed it up. I did eamil them on the day I ordered, but there was no response.

He said that the only way to fix it would be to order it again and cancel my current order. I asked him if that would mess up my place within the queue, but he told me that they havent split things up by order date, which I intepereted as meaning there are more than enough devices for the current pre-orders.

Then he asked when I placed my order and I told him it was on the 27th. Apparently he couldn't cancel any orders from before the 1st. He then said he would have to pass on my issue to someone else who would 'intercept' the package before it left, so I guess they really are getting close.

Yeah. What's more annoying is that he said they might not be able to confirm the cancelation for up to four days from now. So now I'm debating on whether I should wait before reordering.

If they don't manage to intercept it and I'm charged for both, I could refuse the delivery and get a refund on whichever arrives second, but it's needless hassle.
 
I ordered myne on the 27th, it's been great reading all yas posts to hold me over while I wait. This will be my first nexus devise. Very exited.

Well that sucks. Sorry to see you have to go through the delay.
 
Here's where I have to give it to Apple again. Any time they announce a device it's almost always got a solid ship date. People should not be allowed to announce stuff with a ship date of "soon".

In Play it says 'Complete', which it has done since purchase. In Wallet it says, 'Your order has been sent to Google Commerce Ltd.'

Is this the same for everyone, bit weird that it says complete.

FYI, I live in the UK.

Judging by what the support guy said to me, as I mentioned above, you'll end up at the bottom of the pile for your order being processed and shipped. But you won't be waiting 2-3 weeks as the tablets will have been produced.
