Time for an update now that i have a gingerbread ROM.

Its pretty easy mate. Go to classical gas website here. Great site with loads of modded apps, themes etc.

ClassicalGas: APKs and Images

Partway down the page there are psd files that are the images with all the layers etc.

I use a free app called GIMP which in my opinion is as good as photoshop unless you are a professional designer etc.

Open the psd file in GIMP and you will see all the layers that create the image. Its basically just placing the screenshot image under the shine layer and then it will look like its part of the screen.

It is really easy but if anyone wants a walkthro doing just let me know.

Oh happy birthday old boy ;)

Cheers. I don't wanna do it, just curious as to why i'm seeing so much of it. Waste of screenspace if you ask me. ;)

video camera does not work.
thats about the only thing.
but i think all gingerbread roms are having that problem.
But i have got some more sreenshots of the menu, standard lockscreen, pattern lock, and gallery layout.

How do you set that up?? I downloaded the app, did my pattern, but every time I unlocked my phone it never comes up?

I've tried GingerVillain 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4, but it's still a little unfinished and I miss the extra features and options of DeFrost, so always restore back.

It is very nice though - a Gingerbread-based DeFroST will be well worth waiting for :D

And to keep it vaguely on-topic for this thread, I do like the black theme of Gingerbread - very nice on an AMOLED screen ;)

The clock is taken from a ROM called miui, I have extracted it and placed it in my dropbox along with the icons and wallpaper.

Gingerbread theme (default for Oxygen ROM) or you can get it from here for Defrost or Cyn ROM

I don't think i have tried the defrost ROM for ages, i think i tried it in it's early stages...... I might have a little peak at it when it gets it's new Gingerbread coat :D

I know mate, im the same, the only thing that puts me of is having to do everything from scratch again, i haven't done any flashing over christmas (i don't mean indecently :p) So i might give RC3 a whirl ;)
 
I've got a problem when attempting to do the screen grab's on my non-rooted Desire, i've followed the info in this link:

How To Capture Screenshots With Your Android Mobile Phone which is on the first post in this thread, i assume by phone drivers it's refering to HTC sync but this may be where i'm going wrong.

I created the shortcut to the DDMS.bat file, when i click on this i get the following error's:

When i plug the phone in via USB (I enable USB debugging beforehand), what option do i select on the phone, charge only/hard drive/htc sync/usb tethering?

Has anyone else had this problem?
