The more I look at my homescreen, the more I feel that the HTC battery widget is somehow not fitting in there..

Could someone suggest one for me? I'd prefer a 1x1 widget that offers some battery info, with animations. :)

Try the Battery Left Widget. I use it and it's good because you can customise the colours and the information displayed on the widget.

The one I have is 1x1. When I go to add the widget I get a choice of 'Battery Left 1x1' or 'Battery Left 2x1'. Is that not what you have?

Oh cool.. Didn't notice that.. :p Thanks a lot.

It looks to me like it could be doing a lot of working in the background, does it do that and suck a lot of battery itself?

Not that I'm aware of. When I go into the settings page that displays what's been using the battery it never shows up. If you set the update frequency to instantly update then it's obviously going to use more. I have mine set to 5 minutes but if you are concerned you could set it for anything up to 3 hours.

When I install icons using bettercut, I have an issue where the icon doesn't seem to fit in the space, only part of the icon and label is visible. Anyone else having this issue and are able to fix it.

Cheers

I dont do any of this Facebook/Twitter/social network stuff, so only running 2 screens of my LauncherPro Beta

yeah lol, it's finished and in for review i'm just too lazy to tick it off :P

You need to be rooted to take screenshots, using an app called shootme. If you don't want to root you can still do it, but its rather drawn out, guide here How To Capture Screenshots With Your Android Mobile Phone

Hi Lekky,

I see one of the main screens full of many folders. where can I get the customized folders as yours on the screen. the ones I have on my main screen are just like any others.

You can create the folders using an app called Folder Organiser. There you can also change the icons, remove the text etc etc. If you're not fussed about removing the text, you can also do all the above in App Organiser, which i found to be a little more user-friendly.

Neither are as slick as the HTC ones, there's a slight lag, but it's worth it if you want the customisation.

Again! :D

This one is called 'Less Is More'

Sorry - I'm being thick but how do I get to this contact widget? Is it different from the favourites widget which takes up a whole screen?

It's the same one. When you preview "people" whilst adding the widget, there is a left and right arrow where you choose is you want the full screen one or the thin one

Anyone got any links to icon pack sites, I'm looking for hand drawn/painted icons.

I can only find packs for social website icons (ie facebook, twitter etc), never for the full range of functions like mail, text, video and so on :O)

Cheers

Thanks Dan - knew I was being a bit slow. Gives me some more screen space to play with! :)
