Its done using the Font Changer Mod linked a couple of pages back, and yes, you need to be rooted.

He kind of did, just not with great detail.. I think it's just the agenda widget but customized so it looks transparent and he's hidden the settings, refresh and add event buttons. You can do the same but It takes a lot of tinkering to get it just right. I already have the widget on a screen, so I dont think I can create It again for my lock screen but with different settings than the one on my full screen.

Is it? Because i have that but it's very small, never takes up the whole screen, which is essentially what i'm looking for, a 4x1 text clock.

Just trying to check out a few on XDA although i'm not a member so i can't get the files. There's OneClock and TypoClock which sound interesting.
 
I usually have a different wallpaper but this one is for Halloween.

Firstly hello everyone...great thread.

I have a quick question I hope hasn't already been answered (i've read the 1st 20 pages)
I've had the Desire for a few days now and am about to embark on some tinkering. The only thing is, I like to change them ALL THE TIME so I was wondering is there an app/widget/easy way of creating a 'profile' for your home screen so you can switch between a few that you like easily?

Yes, they're called "Scenes" and you can save, customise and switch between them. See under Settings->Personalize
 
As im a noob, would there happen to be a guide somewhere to LauncherPro and what you can do with it or a guide to changing the look of your phone?
Other than reading the near 50 pages of this thread I mean?!

Unfortunately not. Scenes are part of HTC Sense, so you can use Sense to create any number of Homescreen layouts and save them / switch between them as much as you want.

LauncherPro lets you save the current theme so you can restore it later, but I don't think there's an official way to save multiple layouts.

Just press Menu->Preferences and go through every option and see what it does.
