Sideloading coming to the Inspire :-)

I'm not even sure its location because I'm in the same house with my husband and his inspire doesn't have the update yet.
 
Just checked and now my husbands inspire has the update and he has had the phone since 5/10.

It seems to just be super random

I got mine 4/9 and I still dont have it, so its not activation date. I must be random.
 
My update came in when the phone was being charged and had been at 100% for awhile. Wifi was off.
 
You, know what sucks I had mine the day after it came out.. then I had to do a master reset since, my phone was acting very strange and now I have to wait again for the update according to HTC and ATT
 
I just noticed it let me download the Amazon Appstore without it even giving me that option I went to Amazon and had the link for the app store sent to me via text message.. and it works.. yay

That's because Amazon gave you the link to the app in the Market. Now if you try to download something from the Amazon Appstore, you won't be able to until you get the update.

No downloading the amazon app store itself was also blocked you needed to sideload it prior to the update. So both the store and any app you wanted from the store would be downloaded but then blocked from install so you would use the SWM to push the apk files for them to your phone. If the poster above your post was able to download and open the app store then he should be able to download apps no problem
 
Check for it, not there yet. Checked for any updates, none, checked back. Now Im sideloading all sorts of crazy things! WOOOOO

Guys you can stop trying to "check" for the upgrade. It'll just kinda appear, so instead of checking updates just goto Applications to see if the option has been added. I just checked this morning and boom it was there. Didn't have to check or install anything.
 
Oh my God!! Yes I finally got it!! What I did is check under Settings>Applications, then back, then go to AT&T Software Update. Click check for updates, when it says you're up to date go back and check for the unknown sources option. I'm so happy I finally got it!!! New Jersey here.

I know that I just like to check.
 
When I hit check for updates in settings the circles spin around for a while and then it says "server unavailable". Is anyone else experiencing this problem, if so did you get the update?

You don't need to check for update. It will automatically be pushed to your phone. One minute it won't be there and then BAM there it is. It's just a waiting game. I got mine one day and my husband got his another. I got my phone on launch day he got his 5/10 and we live in the same house so its not based on location or activation date. Just random as all Hell.
