120 days and 84 percent left...got this sweet thing called a charger. Even got one for the car and office so it never matters how long my battery lasts unless someone kidnaps me drops me in the desert takes my car and I cant find civilization of any kind or a car for 10 hours or more...

or if you dont wanna be tied to a cord.... ya know, since these things are "wireless" devices :P

Yeah because I move around so much during the 8 to 10 hours at my desk or the other hour in my car lol. Just saying lots of sitting time to charge and be ready for the in between time at lunch and walking to the coffee maker :)

Wireless its great but I'm usually tethered to something anyhow might as well tether the phone near by

i know i know!!!! lol i dunno, i just like not having to worry about "oh cr@p, i have 22% left, wheres my charger?" yeah, while at work, no big whoop, but when im shootin pool or running the P.A. or something that isnt exactly stationary its nice to know that i can forget about how long my phones gonna last before i need to go grab my charger from my car lol its merely a matter of how active/inactive your lifestyle is i guess

Well shit if ya charged it all day at work it better last till bedtime lol

Just giving ya shit continue your pursuit of better battery life sir :)

For my point of view it seems pursuit of better battery life is more hassle than just plugging the damn thing in :D

LoL :P and indeed i shall. Hey man, i gotta say that this tiamat kernel is doin quite well. If it stays as good as its been, i dont think my persuit will need to continue :)

LoL whats the deal with the smart a$$ governor? is it just more aggressive than the standard setting im using? i havent run into any issues with the bog standard tiamat kernel yet

Smartass will automatically scale down the processor with the screen is off. It's basically the same as setting a screen off profile, so with Smartass, you don't need a screen off profile. I think Smartass is a little more responsive than Conservative, so I use Smartass pretty much exclusively. I usually get good battery life, but have a hard time actually letting a kernel settle to where I will get great battery life.

How long does it take for a kernel to settle anyway? Like 2 or 3 days?

Well that depends on how much of a spratic user u are like me..
That is why I prefer setcpu over smart ass

i usually give it a few charge cycles before i can get a better idea on how the kernel is working for me.

I don't think smartass really "learns" anything though does it? I thought it was basically a governor that will react a certain way in certain situations, kind like its own set of setcpu profiles if you will.
