hey everyone. i was wondering if the droid x is a phone you can safely keep in your pocket? i have a lg voyager so when i saw the x at the verizon store i wasn't sure if it would fit safely.
 
Fits in mine perfectly. It feels good in my pocket too, doesn't feel awkward or like I have a brick in there. I have no problems with it. Doesn't even stick out much either.

I actually do wear skinny jeans, havent with the phone though.

I just got it so I kind of baby it when it is in my pocket, I get nervous about anything hitting it. Honestly it feels good, doesn't really feel any different than my old LG Shine.
 
it fits better in my pocket than my curve ever did and it was much smaller. I ensure that the screen faces my body. No problem and I'm not gentle in day to day life.
 
I had a lg enV touch, the X is much more comfortable in my pocket. Also it's nice to have a phone without a hinge so you don't have to worry about stressing it and wearing it out. Until I get a suitable pouch I will continue to carry it naked, keeping the screen facing in. I only worry about it not being in some sort of case at work but it's been holding up so far.
 
fits halfway in my back pocket

i'd put it all the way into the pocket, but I know that'd I'd forget and bend over or step up or something and snap the screen in half
 
It fits just fine in any of my jean pockets and athletic wear. :) Most of the time, I don't even notice it.
 
I'm skinny but it does fit well in my back pocket. With all the metal in my front pockets (keys, change, etc) I haven't tried it in there.
 
I keep it in my front pocket. It is uncomfortable on hot days. It is also awkward at times when sitting, depending on the pants, how the phone has shifted, and what I'm doing (like getting in my truck).
I'm not so sure I wouldn't have the same issues with other, smaller, smart phones however. It's not like the phone is THAT big.
 
I've got huge pockets. I wear hella baggy jeans. Borderline parachute pants sometimes. Pockets are so big that the phone actually manages to turn sideways on me sometimes and looks crazy weird. I put my DX in my pocket with the screen facing my leg and the camera hump on top.
 
Fits great in my pants, never any problems

"Back pocket'??
I'd never put a phone there. Two reasons.
1) Forget about it and sit on it.
2) Pick pockets love back pockets
 
Unless you are an emo, you should be able to fit the phone in your pocket, though I have been thinking about trying a sleek belt clip, but then that would require me to always wear a damn belt...
 
This phone is the perfect size for me. I'm 6"3 210 lbs. Fits in my pocket just fine. I always keep my phone in my right front pocket with nothing else in that pocket so I don't scratch it.
