Wow color me as impressed as everyone else. I video called a few people earlier and the call/video quality was excellent. Easily as good as my laptop which has a really shitty webcam. No surprise that connection was handled well by 4G either. Does anyone know if you can plug headphones in so that audio in goes through them but audio out is still picked up by the phone mic?

Oh well, that's something HTC should've thought about. Congrats, now you can Skype 2 hours a day and carry a big ol' brick in your pocket.
As you said, it works for some, not for all.

Dont complain about battery life if youre not going to take the steps to deal with it. Function > Form.

Im glad theres finally a working Skype for our phones though. Cant wait to get my phone back and try it out. Has anyone used it with Virus' ROM yet?
 
Woot woot! Never used skpye before, now I have to figure that out.

Where do I get the .apk? I went to one site and it won't download. I think to much traffic?
 
I downloaded then when I try to install it says "there is a problem parsing the package." What does that mean?? How can I install this, its driving me crazy?!

Won't install on mine either. I don't get any message. I touch the file, open app manager, and nothing opens, the install button never shows up on the screen.
 
So over on xda someone with my exact issues said he was having the problems because he changed his LCD density. This makes sense because I changed mine as well. At least I know why I was getting FC's left and right. So be warned if you've changed your LCD density this probably won't work on your device. I'm not changing my density back to 240 as things look too squished together for my liking so I guess no skype for me. Not a big deal as I don't see myself using it that much anyways.

Yeah I downloaded Filedroid lite and tried to install it with that, and it did exactly what you are saying, it opened up but there was no install button or anything. :confused::confused:

OK - I got it working. I downloaded the .apk file to my desktop, pluged in my phone as a disk mount, dropped the file into my downloads folder, and then went back into my phone and installed it. Worked that way.

Tried a video call today and got 2 "license required" type messages and then force closed. Wouldn't allow me to sign back in either. Before that I was able to get video Tbolt to Tbolt, though the sound was pretty awful. After 30 seconds it froze. I don't think this is ready for prime time just yet, Uninstalled.
