Root Solved? lol...Help battery wont charge

yes and no was weird so when i originally stated post i had 14% when it got down to 1 in the midst of plugging unplugging all of a sudden the car mode notification popped up and was charging phone lol but then it stopped and was doing the possesed stuff i said in earlier post...so then i tried the laptop again to charge it nd this time it worked when originally in laptop didnt work,,,so my current staus is no charging in outlet in laptop charges but says device malfunctioned and i cant transfer or open phone folders
 
lmao its is...and i have both kind chargers so its not faulty usb cord or plug adapter idk kinda of annoyed cuz i wanna apply my new uot theme been trying to fine tune it
 
Well, it's definitely in the programming. One thing to try is uninstalling the drivers on computer and reinstalling (sure you have already done that). Two it's in the phone programming somewhere. Not sure where as I have tried to think of everywhere it can be.
 
sorry watching tenessee beat pit lol..anyways yeah ive tried drivers reinstall..drivers have been shaky for me since i got tu....im gonna try to reinstall megatron fresh tomorrow or go back to stock and start over glad i got a mini sd usb stick to transfer files thanks for help bro keep ya posted
 
Have you tried just a simple battery pull for 3 to 5 minutes? This is a form of soft-reset. It's good to do this sometimes. And I didn't cache if you were rooted or not. If not you could root/fix lots problems like these with installing a new rom.
 
dais i am rooted.....and did do battery pull for 5 min....i restored backup nothing i fresh installed megatron 6.0.4 yes i wiped everything both times and nothing...i can charge on laptop so thats better than no charge this is just some weird shyt...between this forum and my tech buddy at a loss to whats up

if you had one around to test that would be nice to come to a conclusion wether its the battery or the phone, you can easily buy a new battery and if its the phone its Samsung's problem without taking any money from your pocket.
 
yeah i wish i did have battery...ill check best buy geek sqaud tomorroiw see if they know whats up...phone plce i went tech guy wasnt there till monday...as long as i can charge its cool for now can work around pc with mini usb adapter
 
so im pretty sure its the usb port in phone...was able to get charge in outlet lil bit ago but back to not charging in outlet again so thats why im thinkiing phone usb port...so i need a huge favor from someone its long shot and prolly not issue but i wanna try going back to stock...i have a stock rom that also erases cwm i dont wanna do that cuz of fact pc not seeing phone therefore cant odin cwm back....id rather do my workaround for issue that i have than no root or worse no megatron...so if somene can upload a boost stock rom that would be awesome...oh and i small enough screwdriver to take apart phone to check port lol
 
first thanks bro...second i rememebered about chevs ff27 stock i tried it and didnt work i got caught up with doing homework with kid forgot to post about...the recovery file you uploaded is that for odin?
 
yaeh odin wont work for me cuz even though i installed and unistalled drivers pc wont see phone so odin is no go for me but still good look...also if i reemeber correctly using apk tool and stuff requires you to have phone connected to phone correct? or is there a workaround? curous cuz was getting ready to use your apk tool guide to give modifying apks again
 
Yes, have to use computer for the apk tools. Either that or you can always copy the file to you sdcard. Run the program and via cardreader insert the file in the projects folder to decompile.

EDIT: Sorry but I'm on Sprint and don't have a Boost file to give you for CWM.
 
talked to samsung and what a waste of time they didnt do anything but take my info and asked what was problem,,no troubleshooting just told me to send it in....but i dont feel like going 2 weeks w/out phone...ill just do my workaround oh welll...so to anyon who reads this before you call boost or samsung check here first in our community cuz even though the suggestions made for my problem didnt resolve issue atleast was more help then they are...we are alot smarter than they are
 
Problem solved for now maybe idk we shall see...so here is what i did i finally got a small screwdriver unscrewed the 5 screws on back couldnt pry open the back off so i gave up didnt want to damage phone so then i put screw back in pput covers back on then plugged into pc to charge and all of a sudden i get the usb debug usb connected options in notification center so i decided to try wall charger and its charging...Lmao i have no idea either maybe phone was on a "bad trip" idk but whatever
