Root Something is trying to install

Pworcester please check the /cache folder on your phone if you are rooted. there should be a zip file in there if you didnt apply the update

sounds like the ZVB update its that exact size can you browse the /cache folder if rooted and tell us what the name of it is? it will end in zip

Just got the notification. rooted and pulled. uploading now,

Heres the file

http://goo.gl/OSZ8t

name is e32dc7c8fa0b.VS740_ZV8_to_ZVB_02_Inc.zip

looks like the vB update....maybe they fixed the issues with it? Trident, can you tear into it and check it out?

Uploading the original ZVB update that got pushed its named
e32dc7c8fa0b.VS740_ZV8_to_ZVB_02_Inc(Original).zip
http://goo.gl/YLfQr

md5 sums match for both files though....

MD5: 1a48bc332ec6f37354b4a4b619920087

I love head scratchers. Thats really wierd that the file name and the MD5 are exactly the same. I mean, maybe someone fell asleep on the "push update" button. I'm all for fixing stuff though. There's plenty of stuff they could fix... that is unless they stuff more crapware with it... *sigh*.

Well i flashed it last night. it has the same crapware installed. ill check protected apps.

I know of one: NYTimes.....Bad news....Broken after reboot!

Any more protected apps that need tested?

Looks like LG Pushed the broken update....

DO NOT UPDATE!

Thats weird because None of my family with unrooted Ally's got this that I am aware of.

I mean they all got the original ZVB update.

The original vzb update is what has been causing problems for some users. it was pulled for a while and then it got put back online again. but there is a new update coming out to fix issues from the previous update, add verizon crapware and possibly a new radio
