Root Speed Tweaks + More

there was the 3G tweaks at the top.
at the bottom starting at ro.home_app_adj=1 the codes were added to fixed home lags, used photos full quality, enhanced videos, increased scrolling quality, delay for ringer, increased time for wifi scanning, and performance. USB debugging also was removed. i enabled mediastagefright and upped the vm heap size.

also if you guys need more internal storage there are log files that have been collecting data since the phone was first bought. in data/log i found 24MB of log files in there. i deleted them and noting happened. but i also never rebooted either. so do with caution.

Aaronmy, I love these tweaks. I would love them more if my phone wouldn't have gone into boot loop. Read My new thread. Thanks.

There was no difference in my 3g speed, maybe even made it slower but just by a tiny bit. But I don't blame it on ur tweak settings, but more like my location. But as for faster performance, it works great.! Kinda interesting so plz do share with us more if u figure out some more tweaks. Thanx great job!

@retrodelete i'm sorry that happened, I dont see how that happened but I agree with the other, you should just play dumb with metro pcs.

There were more tweaks for the kernel but I found out that after a long heavy using the phone reboots. I say about in 15-30 minutes it will then reboot.

Could this be the case with my phone? I mean, I used ADB to pull my system, but my SU had a segmentation fault. SO i'm not able to push files (like my backed up build.prop). I haven't left the phone on for more than 5 minutes on bootloop. Sounds like I have something to do when I get home then... :D Getting my phone changed tomorrow by corporate.

Some more tweaks

debug.sf.nobootanimation=1
net.tcp.buffersize.default=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.umts=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.gprs=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.edge=4096,87380,256960,4096,16384,256960

The first one is to skip the boot animation.
These others are net speed tweaks, i never used them so if you want to, make sure you back the build prop.

ro.config.hw_menu_unlockscreen=false
persist.sys.use_dithering=0
persist.sys.purgeable_assets=1
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=m=y
ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000

These ones are miscellanious flags, i dont know what they are, but be careful i never tried them, for those who want to.

just copy paste under current build.prop ? with spaces or no ? or does it matter ?

edit: after copying and pasting under additional build properties in the build.prop. the bootanimation still shows ...
What am I missing ?

Well i guess we have no bootanimation, sorry for the late mention, but i found out that our android's bootup is used by picture files.

Hmmm... I don't think its the tweaks that did that to your phone, cuz if that was the case then my phone would of had that problem too. But nothings happens to my phone, yet lol. Either way, were all trying these things out on our own risk XD

Cool thanx. Ill try the net speed tweaks, but not too sure bout the miscellanious tweaks since its lol. N about the boot animation... that's probably why when I disabled boot animation with root toolbox, it would still show when my phone boots up. I just realized admire has the same animation as the freeform 2.

OK, explain to me in great detail what you did when you replaced it.

I figured i messed up something.

Well I Downloaded your file on my laptop. Set my phone in usb mass storage and transfered it to my sd card. Then i go and make a copy of my original build.prop and pasted it onto another location in my sd card.

Then i get your file that i copied and move it to where my original buld prop is in the system folder. As soon as it was done pasting my phone reboots on its own.

It shows all the start up animations except the third and final Samsung animation right before the phone is fully on.

Thanks. I am pretty sure i messed something up. I am kinda new to this. But any help is appreciated! :)

Wow so i just redownloaded the file and its zipped. Crap, It didnt download right the first time.

Any way of posting and update.zip with the stock rom? Maybe this can be a fix?

Thanks. But how will this help me turn my phone back on?

I made a copy of my stock build.prop but cant access it without my phone on. The only way would be through the update.zip that can be accessed through recovery mode.

Hey aaronmy so I got it in my system folder now but instead of overwriting my build.prop it went in as build-COPY.prop. should I delete the stick build.prop out of that folder?
