Root Step by step Root walkthrough for Huawei Fusion 2

i just tried that. it won't recognize my phone at all for some reason. is there a forum to fix this?

You may have already tried this, but sometimes when I plug in a device to my USB port, and it decides to misbehave, a simple solution is to just plug it in to another port. Preferably a port on the other side of the Laptop, or if you're using a Desktop PC, switching from a port in the front of the PC to the back.

AHA! i got it to recognize my phone! i only had to take out the micro sd card multiple times and reset my computer setting so that it recognized my phone as a new device. it only took a couple hours

**it still hasn't recognized my phone
is there any way i can root using just my microsd card?

Does Device Manager show that there is an unrecognized device?
(What OS are you using?)

it was the cable that i was using something wasn't working properly within the cable, and i am using windows 7

**it is FINALLY working. I should have tried using a different cord the second i had a USB problem

***fastboot devices has been recognized! so far it is working

What does Device Manager show?
(Hit the start menu and type Device Manager)

For Example, My Device Manager has an entry directly below my PC name called Android Phone, and when I extend that menu I have an entry called Android Composite ADB Interface.

Do you have this same entry?

Or do you have a spot where there is an unrecognized device(when the phone is plugged in)

besides it taking me all day to figure out that i had a bad cable this was probably the fastest way to root my phone. once i got a good cable it only took me a couple minutes

Awesome. Congratulations!

I admire your persistence in this matter.

Now you need Titanium Backup, and you can get rid of the crap. I believe shagerty linked to a post showing what was safe to remove.
**Here is the post...

Titanium backup did the trick?

ok, it tells me that "fastboot devices" is not a proper command or batch file...(not exactly those words, but that's what it's saying.) I was unable to get the drivers from your link, they download and open but I couldn't get the driver to install so I found my own from the Huawei website. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

I dont know if the poot method works, but the one with the walkthrough I wrote definitely does work, so try the suggestions from everyone on the forum and most of all BE PATIENT..

Got it! Had to do things a little differently since I'm on a Mac, but I already had ADB setup for my Kindle Fires and Samsung S2, so it was a no brainer. Now to clean out the crapware! :smokingsomb:
