Root Still can't unroot my Evo's Unrevoked 3! Please help!

ok maybe not then. try the one downloading now. also another idea is to try downloading the file from your phone. not sure but an idea.

ok that is so weird that this is happening twice in a row. that sounds like an easier plan. i just do not understand what your hboot is doing. are you putting it on the root of the sd card (no folder)? and naming it right? just weird man.

yeah, i feel like the OP. Not a master with all this but definitely not a noob. Been rooted and flashing roms/kernals/themes (manually through recovery) with no problems. Weird and frustrating.

So apparently it's reversed. Decided to give a try to keeping s off and going to hboot screen with pc36img and it worked. I'm unrooted.Finally.

wait so you ran unrevoked to get s-off then use the PC36IMG file to get stock rom and recovery? how did you get s-on again?

Yeah. Worked too. And I don't know. I renamed s on as pc36img and let it go through hboot.phone froze, I did battery pull. And now it says s on. Lucky I didn't break anything.

Ported number over to Virgin Mobile and the majority of my Craigslist responses wanted the phone stock.
