Still Confident Bravo is coming to Verizon

I think that we are pretty much all in the same boat in hoping that the Bravo comes to VZW, but on that note, I am curious as to what your feelings on the Nexus One are. I have read a lot of mixed reviews, some great, some awful, but as long as we are waiting, I would like to know how you feel about the N1. We all have to have similar taste in what we want in a phone and what we are looking for, so it makes me very curious.

yes i also have read many mixed reviews. i like it if it came to verizon before we have any solid info on a release date for the bravo or that the bravo was going to at&t i would buy it.

If i could get the N1 with, and it not be sold by Google id take it. Also id want it with a sense keyboard! lol

yeah i have heard that alot to but looking at swype i think that could be an alright keyboard easy to use especially in portrait mode. i know i would really like to try it out

I completely agree with you. If I can get it through VZW and manage to put the sense keyboard on it, I would be all over that. I really hope that it is not sold by Google because I don't know about you, but I can't buy a phone without playing with it first.

Ditto!
I make constant trips to Verizon in the midst of an upgrade lol
I was VERY close to getting a DROID, but when i heard about this and the N1, im like hmmm...maybe ill wait! but if it takes too long, i think ill just get a droid on a 1 year.

@ Shawn
Swype is cool and accurate, but i get a sensation off typing on a phone, idk y! i like hearing clicks and haptic feedbacks lol idk what it is lol

I'm the same way--I have to play with it, but I'm probably going to get the N1 anyway because I can't wait. :( Anyway, the N1 (once rooted) has the sense keyboard. Looks nice.

That is me verbatim. I too was seconds away from actually pulling the trigger on the DROID, but decided as long as it wasn't killing me that I can stick it out for this bad boy.

I would like to play around with Swype. I have read a lot about it and without ever actually using it, it just seems strange. I would love to give it a shot though because I have read a lot of people raving about Swype.

Wow, he did delete his posts. Good thing I'm checking this board every 5 min or I would have missed that solid info he had. I'm so sure it's coming soon, I'm looking at used Droids on Craigslist. Maybe by this time next year this thing will actually be released.

ive used while playing with the Omnia II. It is very accurate and quick. It's weird because it seems like an obvious idea, but its just coming out lol

Before anybody throws a hissy fit again, I'm not trying to bring the drama back with this post. I am simply making a comment in regard to one of the apps, Inner Circle, that newsradio said would be on the Bravo/Passion. I actually had never heard of it before and wasn't sure if it existed. Well, I found a reference to it on HTC's uk website for the HTC Snap. It says this about it:

Inner Circle = Quick Connections
Life seems to be speeding up. And with more to organize and less time to do it, your phone should help prioritize the people who matter most to you. HTC Inner Circle keeps you connected to your exclusive few. With the touch of a button, e-mails from your

I haven't heard of it, but then again, I don't follow UK products unless they concern me...THE BRAVO. lol

So, at least I have confirmed that Inner Circle exists. Other than that I make no claims. ;)

Edit: After looking into it a little more, this apparently isn't new news. I found news about it as far back as April/May 2009. Though I only saw it mentioned for the Snap.

Has anyone else ever heard of this before? Maybe this came out while I was living under a rock.

Yeah, I did a google search for "HTC inner circle" I believe, the first time he posted about it. I, like you, found it to be old news and nothing new. It appears to just be a program built into Sense UI, I assume, that keeps all of your most messaged, called, etc. contacts all together so that you have quicker access to them in the future. That's kinda what I got out of it anyways. I'm sure it's cool and very helpful, but nothing groundbreaking or revolutionary.

And just for the record, not for you droidaholic, just for everyone here, I have never claimed that Inner Circle doesn't exist. I 100% believe it exists, because I've seen it in a video on HTC's website in a video of some of the features on a phone (can't remember which one.) I just don't see how claiming that "inner circle" is going to be on a new phone somehow proves that the person claiming they have solid information on a phone, is legitimate and correct. I've yet to see the connection between the two. It's like saying "Hey guys, I have seen official documentation that this phone will have a robot arm that comes out of it and will stir your coffee for you. See? No one has released that information yet, so I MUST be telling the truth." Call me crazy, and maybe I'm taking crazy pills here...but I don't see how that lends any shred of credibility to someone. Maybe it's just me though...

By the way Droidaholic, none of that was directed at you in ANY way whatsoever. You're a cool dude.

yes i had seen inner circle before when he first mentioned it back at the end of december i looked it up looks nice but just no one else had said anything about it or has said anything about it with relation to the bravo so i was just pointing out how he said it was coming on the phone and no one else knew about it so it had to be legit. when really it sounds like he just took the snap, touch hd, and nexus one smashed them into one phone and it would be the bravo

Ya know why I don't think that Inner Circle has been mentioned by anyone? (assuming that Inner Circle even really DOES come on this new phone) Because, just being honest here, it doesn't seem like Inner Circle is THAT big of a deal. Am I missing something Shawn? Correct me if I am, but maybe no one has mentioned it because no one really cares. I'm more interested in what processor and what speed the processor will run at, what kind of camera it will have and if it will film HD 720p video, what size screen, etc. I mean, don't get me wrong...a little program that groups all of your favorite contacts who you contact most frequently into one inbox or whatever, COULD be a handy feature, but is it something we're all freaking out about and drooling over? You tell me.

I've got an idea...how about we all call our local Verizon Wireless stores and just ask if they have any info on the Passion/Bravo/Incredible. It would be interesting to see what kind of response we would all get. Maybe we could see some sort of pattern emerge between all the gathered info. Who knows, maybe one of us will stumble across a little fools gold nugget of unsubstantiated information.

The HTC Bravo rolls out earlier than expected?

This article contains unofficial information.
Do you remember the the plans of HTC for the first half of 2010 that got leaked on the Internet? One of the most technologically advanced handsets on the list is nicknamed the HTC Bravo and supposedly, it is an Android-based cell phone with pretty much the same hardware features as the Nexus One, namely 3.7-inch AMOLED display with WVGA native resolution, based on the growingly popular Snapdragon platform and equipped with 5-megapixel camera featuring the extremely pleasing 720p video capture capability. The rumor had it the device was coming this April, but it now seems things are different.

We were already counting the days until the official introduction of the cell phone when it turned out, earlier today, that we would probably not have to wait as long as previously expected and the much-anticipated device would roll out a month ahead of schedule. The information comes from the official Facebook page of the Swedish division of the carrier 3 and the available details confirm the plans of the telecom to release the HTC Bravo this March. Unfortunately, no word has been breathed on the possible price-tag or the software the handset will be running.

The rumor has it the HTC Bravo will be based on Android 2.1 (like the Nexus One), but will utilize the HTC Sense interface instead, something that would probably make the device a whole lot more appealing than the Google Phone to, well, quite a few people. This looks like a probable assumption indeed, since we know HTC has been falling over backwards to equip as many cell phones with their personalized interface as possible these days (the same even applies to affordable models like the HTC Smart). Moreover, recently surfaced information goes that the HTC Hero will get updated to OS version 2.1 as soon as February, meaning the HTC Sense will have been prepared for deployment on the latest Android editions by the time we see the HTC Bravo officially released on the market.

Saw this on phonearena.com. just wanted to share. It did say contains unofficial info.

This is exactly the phone I want and confirms most of the rumors I have been hoping are true. The only way this could be better is if VZW picks it up and it comes earlier than March.

I'm in too. I say we start a new thread, entitled something like "Operation RetrieveBravoInfo" or something. And all the posts in that thread will be the details of our convos with different VZW stores asking them about new android devices/passion/bravo/incredible/etc. We can say we're not interested in the Droid, and if they have no plans of releasing any new android phones in the next month, we will go with TMobile for the Nexus One or with ATT with the IPhone 3Gs just to force their hand a little more. If 100 calls are made, and only 1 is able to get some noteworthy details on this phone, it'll all be worth it!

If this doesn't go T-Mobile or at least AT&T I'll be pissed, especially if it's got the same specs as the N1 + Sense

That right there is my DREAM PHONE.

It does sound fun. haha It's kinda dead in here, except of course for the on-going feud with newsradio, who has (for the time being) quietly deleted all of his posts and retreated to his nerdery for the time being. So...I'm game.

Dude, that is GREAT and hilarious! Seriously, start a new thread and call it EXACTLY that. Call it "Operation Retrieve Bravo Info" or "Operation Retrieve Bravo Intel" LOVE IT! This thread has gotten really long anyways. Thanks for a few great weeks of entertainment! Let's make the move!

If it's of any consolation, I emailed VZW's CEO but never got a response. I did this before in the Fall about another phone, as did others, and got a reply. They have a department that filters email and most times they'll give you vague info or ask for you to call a number to have your questions answered, like a customer satisfaction department. This time, I got nothing. If you guys want to give it a shot, go for it. See if you get anything.
