Root Stop A TB Operation?

LittleRedDot

I've been trying to restore with TB and it's stuck at 0%, and I want to try running a different batch operation, but it's telling me that there's already one running. So how do I stop the stuck operation to start a new one? Am I gonna have to power down my device for this?

Ok I rebooted and tried a different restore operation, which also hung.... I'm starting to thing that my back up is somehow corrupted, so what I'm gonna do is flsh a nand to a known good setup and create a new backup, then reflash this rom and try again.

So my question is how do I delete the back up that I do have?

I'm trying to make the transition from my back up rot to TB and I'm starting to regret it.

what are you exactly trying to restore?

Good question. Try backing up user apps and data a few at a time. latest backup will be used. Can choose how many to have too.

I had my mik3.0 set up exactly how I wanted it, and I wanted to copy all my apps plus their associated data, calendar entires, contacts etc, and restore them to a fresh CM7 flash. I've done this same operation with my backup root a couple dozen times, I don't know what is so difficult about TB that I can't figure out.

Ok I've flashed back to Mik3.0 and deleted the TB backup... Now what batch operation do I run if I want to save all my apps to restore to CM7?

I'd say, backup all user apps.

I deselect a bunch of stuff though. footprint, facebook, car whatchacallit, don't have use for a lot of that.

How Much space do you have and how much space does your apps take? You may want to try doing a few apps at a time and see how that works. I have had to do that in the past until I could reboot and have a2sd move apps to the sdcard. (However I think me an Ocean are the only people who have 150 + apps) yeah were whores :D

I have plenty of space... I just don't know much about TB. Is there a guide to TB floating round here like there is everything else?

The problem is you're trying to restore Sense application information to an AOSP ROM. They don't use the same system apps, so trying to restore anything from the Contacts or Calendar apps won't work. Anything from a Market app should work though, as long as it's compatible with both Sense and AOSP. Your contacts and calendar should be backed up to Google, though, shouldn't they?

Also, to stop TB, just go to your Manage Applications, choose TB, and just Force stop it. That prevents you from having to reboot to back out of a restore job that gets stuck.
