Root stuck in WarmTwoPointTwo boot loop i think

i'll try to make this short.... i rooted yesterday for the first time, and i used to rEVOlutionary. made a backup of course. i downloaded a bunch of market apps including ClockworkMod. i did a backup from the app, and then downloaded the WarmTwoPointTwo ROM. i installed the ROM from the ClockworkMod recovery/bootloader.
here's my problem. it gets stuck saying "loading WarmTwoPointTwo" and i guess that's what you call a bootloop. anyways, i had to use rEVOlutionary to get to the recovery screen, and when i tried to load my backup from the ClockworkMod folder, it says no files found. i still have the original backup made from rEVO, but i haven't loaded it yet. is there somthing i am missing here? this my first time rooting and loading a ROM, so i have no idea what i'm doing! haha, thanks in advance!

Stay away from CWM and ROM manager, It is buggy and doesnt always get everything wiped correctly. You should be manually flashing things from recovery.

Check out the rooting for dummies gingerbread edition thread and go down to the section on switching recoveries. You'll want to use Amon Ra.

Also, what is your flashing procedure?

You'll want to wipe everything except SD card at least once (most people suggest 3x) and then flash the superwipe file found in the dummies guide and THEN flash your ROM.

Also, can someone move this to the rooting section?

I would suggest using the Amon ra style recovery, that way he can restore
the clockworkmod nandroid if he needs to;)

+1 to that. Is it linked in the switching recoveries part of the guide? If not I def think it needs to be. Only reason I didn't recommend it was because I wasnt sure if it was in there.

Love that new recovery:)

I updated my rooting and partitioning thread to reflect that;)

so you guys liking the new recovery? Is superwipe compatible with it?

yes, it supports both edify and amend scripting

Yes, it is compatible with both scripting types and compatible with CWM and Ra nandroid backups.

Personally, there's no reason not to be running it instead of Amon Ra

+1
No issues with the new recovery

just letting it prove itself a bit before I change. Amon Ra works great already and I didn't know what half that stuff it was talking about was anyway.

It's nice having newer updated amon ra recovery with newer opions and Ilike the fact in the wipe section, wiping of sdcard is at the bottom. No by mistake wiping of the sdcard:eek::D

Exactly how i feel. Is this new one by the same dev as amron?

No, this is not amon ra. This recovery is a forked source of amon ra recovery;)
