Ok, I found a great vid on this:

The point of interest is at about 3:11 in the vid where it mentions the three ribbon connectors. The digitizer attaches to the center location on the motherboard. Have you checked all 3 of those connections? If you have the guts, I would make SURE they are all seated in all the way and secure. I've had issues before where ribbon cables SEEM to be secure but they are not fully seated.
