T-Mobile/Metro Talks

Least well have the Note 2 (maybe :D) I really don't care. Don't know why everyone is making such a big fuss about it. One company bought out another and now becoming one. Happens everyday throughout America and around the world. That's how alot of companies grow. A lot of people are acting like it's the end of the world and Tmo and Metro are the only carriers in the world and now there's only one. Metro sucks. We can all say that. But hey we like the bill/plan prices. IF prices go up and IF quality and coverage/data speeds or whatever? I'll gladly pay a little more for the better. I mean seriously of I could afford and wanted to be in a contract, I'd be on one of the big 5 paying more Ahaha :D;)

Just my 2 cents which don't mean much but hey to me it's whatever :D

Thank You!!

Just talked to t mobile and even they said to wait before dropping it on the s3. They said all the details should be out and the full merger should be completed in about 6 to 9 months.

He sounded competent but idk. No one knows i guess lol

But did he sound sober??

so much for my 40 unlimited talk, unlimited text, and throttled 4g.

imma prob just go with an iphone with a real carrier now.

thanks metro pcs.

sell outs.

i dont see how shutting down CDMA will automatic mean metropcs will go kaput especially when metro planned on doing this long before this merger plan in order to make way for voLTE.

its the reason why metro has been putting out more LTE capable handsets the last 3 months.

obviously metro will have to switch over to GSM, which is what they'll be working on up until 2015. both companies want LTE.

i'd also like to know how voLTE is going to be implemented on handsets. is it a hardware thing or a firmware thing?

i got a galaxy attain. im not spending 500 plus on the s3 on metro.

if anything ill get the s3 on sprint.

and if not ill get the iphone 5 to finally be in the in crowd.

The S3 is 10 times better than the iPhone and cost almost the same as an iPhone 5....

Well, first of all you need VoLTE capable phones , in this case the esteem is confirmed to have it, the connect, the beast gs3 and I'm not sure about the motion. Since these phones are equipped with the capability then metro will probably push out a firmware or ota update to these phones activating the VoLTE feature...

Fuzzy, since you've been talking to both Tm and MPCS both, maybe you can attack it from another angle. Why not contact Samsung, get to the techies who had something to do with getting the S3 Metro ready. Shouldn't they know the 2 carriers AND how they set the phones up for them to give you some better 411 about your options so far as getting the Metro S3 now and future network options?

Just a thought.

Good idea sir

"consumers are likely to see more attractive price plans as well more attractive handsets"

I hope so! Phones I saw on T-Mobile's site sucked!

I think metros CDMA towers will just be bought out by sprint and anyone still using metros CDMA phones will be moved to sprintpcs...its the only thing that makes sense if metro and T-Mobile want to drop CDMA metro phones.

There are a lot of speculation at the moment who knows cdma might get dropped after 2015 either way in two years even if metro was not getting bought I'm sure volte would have make us buy new phones or some other technology who knows let's not worried about the future the way the world is going who knows if we will even be alive it might sound cruel but it's reality

Hi there, Dreamer...
That does sound good, but how likely you think anyone would trouble themselves to make this happen?
I mean, we can't know everything...
Maybe Verizon is gonna buy Sprint, and CDMAs will make a great comeback!
See, I'll dream with you too...
