Root [T-Mobile/MetroPCS] [BETA] [4.4.4] Cyanogenmod 11 Unofficial

Wow I'm away for a few days for finals and we already have a kitkat rom going?!! Good job man, you are a real hero for getting kitkat to boot on this phone. So I just want to get up to speed: phone, text, and 2G data works, and camera, bluetooth, H+ data, and LTE data are the only things not working?

Alright good to know, this rom is still pretty new so I don't expect it to be perfect right off the bat. It's interesting how both the GSM and CDMA versions are being worked at now at two different paces by different people. That allows for twice the productivity :D

I noticed that for the instructions for the rom, you posted the link for the virgin mobile/sprint version of TWRP. You might want to change it to the metro pcs/t-mobile recovery.

It works for both, it's actually what I use on a daily basis

The only difference is that the kernel boots init.fx3s.rc instead of init.fx3t.rc (which makes no difference, as they're functionally the same init)

The only difference is the aboot.img and how you boot into recovery. Since they are slightly different, which ever recovery you choose, the aboot the loki'd recovery was created by needs to be included

Uh, sorry I didn't understand. Did you say the loki of the rom needs to be the same as the recovery? So is it safe to use TWRP recovery from virgin mobile?

Oh yes, sorry, unloking and loking images has become so automatic for me, that I forgot that I even did it for TWRP... I'll post a pre-lokified one in the morning, I'm tired now, sorry xD

They are basically the same and both will work on your phone. Unless you know what your doing, I would suggest using the one designed for your phone.

I see lot's of progress happening about this rom... on the virgin mobile thread lol :p Can't wait until you update the rom for all those features you and xclusive are talking about.

You're right, that's where the magic happens, because NOBODY owns the T-Mobile version, let alone the MetroPCS version. :p It's really an accident that this phone came into my possession and it's my first android phone :blushDroid:

There's an issue with the rom. It will install but won't boot. Won't get past the lg splash screen. I redownloaded it to confirm.

You may need to reupload.

yep, won't boot here too, there any plans to fix the camera? or some kind of method so that I can try?

I know why it's not booting for me. You didn't include the aboot.img. :p
Because i'm on virgin, I have the virgin aboot. :p

So you have H+ and LTE data working along with wifi on this rom now? How about vibration? And just wondering will this work with CWM recovery or only TWRP?

I've tried your blobs, kernel, ramdisk, basically everything and 4g still isn't stable for virgin mobile. I need to do more digging.

HSDPA/HSUPA works, but HSPA+ doesn't (I'm still investigating as to why). LTE and wifi work (I didn't test LTE for too long, so it may be unstable according to xclusive). Vibration works, but it's buggy with trebuchet (the default CM launcher) as you might freeze the phone if you try to drag widgets onto a full homescreen or if you push too many numbers on a PIN lockscreen. And finally, I use TWRP everyday with this phone.

Have you looked through the radio logs?

It's impossible to get some kind of basis this topic with the f6 cm to pack the camera?

#Edit I will try to use this camera to fix the f3 just replacing the boot.

#EDIT #2 fail, but this time it took longer to appear "unable to connect camera will". I want the camera to work :(:(:(:( :'( buah buah buah
Yeah, I don't know man, I haven't messed with the camera yet. But I do remember that the camera looked like ass on stock, so I wasn't too keen on getting it to work until everything else worked, EXCEPT that it will be working soon, because I can't live without my torch!
