Root [T-Mobile/MetroPCS] [BETA] [4.4.4] Cyanogenmod 11 Unofficial

I went on the play store and downloaded some cm11 themes that seem to be work great. I have a question. Can i use freedom kernal to overclock to 1400hrz?Will it be safe with kitkat?
Definitely not, Freedom Kernel is made for Jellybean and this is a Kitkat Rom. I saw this happening on the F6 Forums where someone flashed freedom (because GameTheory made it for many phones) on a kitkat rom and it bricked. So don't risk it.

Ok thanks. Glad i asked before i flashed

One of the things I keep noticing is the ROM randomly restarting for no reason or when after pressing the power button, the screen is blank but buttons have light. What is going on?

Are you going to put an update that supports the camera and the led home button and the flashlight.

Hey guys, newbie on the forum. I was very excited when I saw that this phone has CyanogenMod. I downloaded it and flashed it three days ago. Was very happy cos I loved the UI and hoe stable it was. Unfortunayely it didn't go as I was expecting. I know it's in beta-ish state so I will like to point out somethings that are not working( working incorrectly).
Bluetooth turns on and off every 30 sec.
WiFi hotspot not working.
After the screen turns off and when I try to turn it on, only the front keys lights up. After a short time it displays my boot animation. This doesn't happen all the time but sometimes.
And please work on the camera.
In-call volumes are too low even on loudspeaker. Using headset seems ok.
With the exception of the mentioned bugs, I love this Rom. Best ever for this phone. Well done getting Cyanogen on this phone.

Is there nothing that you can do about the RAM? Stock firmware has 805mb usable but this one has 769Mb.
Stock ROM is JellyBean. This is KitKat. You can generally assume newer versions of Android will use more RAM than older ones. Given that, 45MB of RAM is an incredibly small amount to complain about to be using KitKat vs. JellyBean.

If you're that worried about RAM, uninstall apps you don't need.

HELP I HAVE NO AUDIO. AND THIS IS THE ONLY ROM (besides slow xperion) THAT WORKS. only thing is sound. there is none

I suggest starting fresh: use the brick recovery method to reflash to stock firmware. Make sure to do a factory reset AFTER you flash. If your audio doesn't work on stock it's probably a hardware problem. If audio works fine then try installing this ROM again, making sure you follow all the steps.

I just wanted to ask, has anyone tried installing Xposed Module on this? I heard that it should work on CM11.

i reseted and flashed multiple times. i did factory reset through volume down and through twrp. always same results. it is tricky to get into twrp, i launch it through desktop. (abootrecovery, install,reboot-recovery) to succesfully open twrp. and once in the twrp menu. i wipe, and delete everything possible. and install cm 4.4.4 or xperion. the only 2 roms that work. but xperion is very glitchy and super lag.cm is stable but no sound . before i rooted it had sound. but i tried 3 rooting methods. until i got it rooted. then used twrp from then on. stock it had sound. after flashing roms, no sound. i tried headphone jack repeatedly. i have bricked it several times, and to get twrp to work, i spam the install windows batch file combined with reboot-recovery batch file. CAN YOU LINK ME WHAT YOU REFER TO START FRESH BRICK?

xperion also has no sound. and those are the only 2 roms i got working.
*note, i tried freedom kernal, but i couldnt find any other kernal. my options are . twrp, freedom kernal, cm 4.4.4 and xperion. and thats all i had to work with

Well folks, daemon32 (the OP and creator of this ROM) hasn't logged in for over 5 months, so I think it's safe to assume we can expect no further updates from him/her. If we want bug fixes, someone else will have to take over.

hi guys, I'm using the gamer rom 4 v1.0.3 le tmob/metro on my sprint lg ls720 (whatever its called). It works awesome, everything, vibration, etc (except the camera, but dude took it out of his rom anyway). Its fast, stable, it works great. I'm on ring+ on their LTE. Not sure what's going on with other people's phones. Have you guys tried the gamer rom v103 le? I didn't even change the apn or anything for that matter.

Yeah, I never could figure out the bluetooth completely... I honestly don't know why the wifi hotspot isn't working for you, as I use it nearly every day.
As for the boot animation thing, the current vibrator driver causes SurfaceFlinger (the UI in android) to freeze and the system_server will kill it when it becomes unresponsive for around 30 seconds, which causes the boot animation to be played back again.
The camera uses (damn awful, ugly, annoying) proprietary binary blobs which do not appear to work at all with any version of android newer than jellybean. I seriously do not understand AT ALL why the hardware manufacturers have to go out of their way to make SURE that the camera won't work with newer versions of android.

I learned some things a while back while poking through various linux kernels, and I noticed that ov8830_v4l2.c (the video 4 linux 2) driver was missing from the F6 kernel I'm using. Stay tuned...

The call volumes are wonky, yes, and I don't really know why... I think xclusive36 had a go at the speakerphone volume, I might ask him about it or something.
And thank you for trying my rom, and especially for reporting your problems! :)

EDIT: Oh, and to fix the vibrator crashing SurfaceFlinger, you can try this:
Settings -> Sound -> Uncheck 'Vibrate when ringing'
Settings -> Sound -> Uncheck 'Vibrate on notification'
Settings -> Sound -> Uncheck 'Vibrate on touch' (this one especially, mine only reboots once in a blue moon with that unchecked)
Settings -> Sound -> Uncheck 'Vibrate' (under the 'CHARGING SOUNDS' heading)

Huh... That's odd, I'd bet that some dirt got in your audio jack or something (that happened to mine, as it was torn up and went through hell and back before it came into my possession).

I just wanted to ask, has anyone tried installing Xposed Module on this? I heard that it should work on CM11.

I've used Xposed on this rom before, just use the 'Classical (write to /system directly)' installation, as the TWRP method may wipe your data partition.

Well yeah, I've basically gone as far as my limited knowledge has allowed me to go (this is the first ROM I've ever done).

He got vibration to work? Maybe I will talk to him and see how he did that...

Great to see you're still around -- and you did fantastically for this being your first ROM. I still run this ROM on my Optimus F3 and use it daily (though it is a secondary device because the GPS went bad -- hardware issue).

I ran the BAT file for aboot-install now when I press vol down + pwr it says it wants to factory reset, there isn't any way into recovery mode now? I try to let it boot but it sticks at LG screen and never boots. How can I fix this? It doesn't seem there is any way into recovery anymore. If I say yes factory reset, then it launches TWRP and resets, but it doesn't let me stay in TWRP it just reboots the phone. I'd like to restore my nandroid but I don't know how to get into recovery now
