The Bah-Humbug thread!

Techincally it was my own words, and not mentioning it to Santa for an animated movie of batman, but with freshness of each movie, then yeah. I will watch them when the time debuts, or just run all three and head to town. Without watching them.

Today is the Epiphany.

I doubt if the vast majority of those Holly-toting Christmas enthusiasts know that.

It is the twelfth day of Christmas and the official end of the season (for Roman Catholics and most protestants). We put away the last remnants of decorations today.

It is THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! :D

Anyone who has their tree up tomorrow, can officially be considered a Pagan*

*not that that's necessarily a bad thing

Our neighbors will keep their lights on their house lit until about a week before Valentines Day, when they get replaced with a big illuminated heart and some tacky inflatable yard character. These people are in their 50's and no children living at home.

How did the Wise Men survive, seriously people just die after three days without eating or drinking, did they really know after the star into day time, on what they where going?

Where there more then three perhaps, and what is with their attire?

I was going to leave this thread alone this year ... but ...

Did anyone else see the Christmas Carole from the BBC on FX? It was rather dark and they took a lot of liberties with Dicken's story. Still I found it oddly compelling and totally absurd.

I'm not sure if I would recommend it or not. For those looking for the Disney version of the holidays, it's certainly not for them. For those who aren't big fans of the season ... how can I explain this ... When "Saving Private Ryan" was first released and the initial scenes from the beach landing on D-Day brought a new level of realism to war pictures, many veterans were uncomfortable watching it as it triggered a lot of best forgotten memories. This was sort of the same thing. PTCD? (Post traumatic Christmas disorder?)

Star Wars got bad reviews. Bah humbug. Maybe the first SW I miss. Huh.

They'll keep selling until people stop buying. THAT is the true spirit of Christmas. God bless us, every buy one, get one free.

A girl after my own heart.

I feel empty yet I donno, maybe love is another marketing scheme of being "human"
ergo, I do not know what it felt to be human, maybe I am a robot.

I am going to see Star Wars..no matter what the reviews say...looking forward to it...Some people like so-called movie critics need to just chill...and enjoy the ride...
I like this season of the year...not the commercialism .though... and not the weather!!!

Still a bit sad for Stephen Orchard's passing, one of the greatest and most sweetest person, we inner facebook group called weThinkers, used to know and come to admire.

Definitely not what I expected, but it beat the heck out of the "cookie cutter" Hallmark movies.
