The historic LA fires :(

What's sad is that apparently State Farm dropped a bunch of people's policies before this because they no longer want to cover homes in CA.

Also the City of LA made a $17.5 million budget cut to the fire department.

Also heard on CNN this morning they are starting to expect arson.

It's not just State Farm. Lots of home insurers have fled the state. We were bundled with Nationwide and they sent us a notice of nonrenewal on the home, but were happy to keep our auto business. We had to look pretty hard to find a new homeowner's policy...and we are not even in a special fire district. :(

As terrible as the fires have been, the one thing i don't necessarily like, is when you have celebrities cry about losing their multi million dollar mansions. Am I wrong to think that?

California has only it's self to blame for lppthe cluster bleep of mess it's in. First you have the sanctuary city of Los Angeles which has become a haven for criminals (need a good laugh go read about the los Angeles county sherrf threatening to arrest people for curfew violation) the los fire department chief is some woke delusional fruit cake who decided that there were too many white fire fighters and they need a more diversified department .
Now it's coming to light that a lot of the water reserves were drained in the weeks prior to the start of the fires which so far no explanation has been given.
It also doesn't help that millions were cut the los Angeles fire department budget probably to fund diversity equity and inclusion training programs or teach city , county and state employees on the latest pronouns and how to use them correctly.
Then there is the issue of land management where instead of going in and cleaning up debris, falling trees and other things that could fuel fires ,those things were left
I know that myself and probably thousands of others are looking at the mess in California and laughing.
Watch as this whole mess unfolds more and more is going to be revealed how all of this was preventable but wasn't.
It also probably didn't help mocking God at the golden globe awards either

If it is arson they'll get a slap on the wrist and be required to attend some fire sensitivity training class, where at the end they'll get a certificate, cookie and a juice

Oh for Christ's stop it. Nary a thing you pretend to be true or to be the case is true, it's not at all factual or based on reality. Take your conspiratorial crap back to the politics thread and continue to slap each other's backs there. This is a horrendous situation and not fodder for your bullshit. Seriously, knock it off.

Dear mods, delete away.

THANK YOU @Clementine_3!!!!!!

you conspiracy theorists can make a thread over on the politics forum. keep your crap out of the LA fires. there are enough blame here for everyone. it is a disaster that i doubt could not have been avoided. those winds would have carried and fan the flames regardless of politics. could it have been more controlled? maybe? but the "would have/could have" will not help the situation now.

now that it is getting into Brentwood, i am worried as i have a few clients who live out that way.

thoughts and prayers everyone.
