The HTC EVO 4G off-topic Banter thread

I got screen shot today too! Now doe sit only work when you open the app? Cause earlier I took my phone out of my purse at work and pulled it out of htis case and I heard the camera go off and I had like 5 other screen shot pictures there besides the one I took. Also there is an app on the phone called Talk which is Google talk is just texting back and forth or can you actually talk with it? Me and my friend thought we were going to be able to talk like we do on our home computers. But we were just testing it out. I know if we wanted to talk we could just call each other LOL!

Ok I got 8.74Mpbs and 0.99Mpbs is that good? I am on wifi at home.. Mine says Ping 18ms

I just had the dis-plesaure of watching an EVO 4G scratch test YouTube - HTC Evo 4g scratch test!

Towards the end of the clip I noticed he mentioned his screen was popping up a bit... :eek: and I've noticed mine doing the same... I have the body glove case on it now so everything is good now, but I wonder what the continued use will produce.... I'll wait it out a bit as to insure proper stock is in before I think about replacing my EVO.... I don't want a referb within weeks of owning mine...

As to not double post... becarful with what games you end up purchasing from gameloft... Nova works fine, Modern Combat Sandstorn fails!

Yea, I'm actually noticing this a bit too.. Very strange. Doesnt seem to be effecting perfomances at all, but now I cant stop noticing it.
 
Hey guys I love my EVO as much as the rest of you. But there is one minor bug that needs to be fixed. Have you all noticed when scrolling through menus and apps/web pages, its kind of jerky. Definitley not a major deal breaker but on a high end flagship device its borderline unacceptable. Here is a link so you guys can read more on this issue and please vote or starr it. The more votes the better chance HTC/Sprint can resolve this minor bug with a firmware update.

Welcome back Bek. Where to start, theres the battery issue thats on going that everyone and their mother has a take on what works and what doesnt, the issue AR22 mentioned above with the fps on the Evo, peoples screens are now not only having the light leakage issue but are actually raising out of the bezel or sinking in if pressed, and then th sporadic errors/malfunctions that people get. But fortunately the SD Card issue is gone :p.

Hmmm... well, I can at least share that I haven't had any screen issues. And my battery seems alright, but this past week hasn't been my normal usage patterns so I really cannot fully comment. But the Evo did well for my needs this past week.

And yes, I'm thrilled that the SD Card issue is gone. :p

Took tons of photos with the Evo and even running with stock settings, the camera runs wonderfully!

I wouldnt even have noticed the bezel being loosy goosy if it werent for that scratch torture test video I saw. I checked mine and lo and behold mine has it to. Slightly not as bad as in that video. Kind of gives me the impression that HTC and Sprint rushed the phone out. I wonder if HTC has commented on their build quality issues. It would be interesting if they do. Other then that the phone is freakin amazing. Welcome back BEK.

Check the top of the phone and you may notice that the frame is a tad taller then the screen. Then run your finger down to the bottom and you may notice that it aint quite the same as the top. Take a close look and press down if you see it depress slightly then you are having the same issue I and others are having. Not a big big deal but Im kind of scared that it may get worst. Oh well I got TEP so Im covered. Now Im done with the nit picking. LOL
