Root The road to Android ICS 4.0 on the Triumph

I understand some folks want things done quickly, but our posture needs to be a charitable one, supporting devs here, especially those working in their spare time. Please be patient. Also, report posts, don't bicker. Thanks you! :)

Hey Isaac,
I was wondering if I could interest you in doing some youtube video tutorials on how to hack android os's starting from installing ubuntu or eclipse, and following with how to set them up and use them, to finding drivers installing them, and every little detail involed in getting a phone ported. It would make it much easier for me to learn from a video than from your thread (which I was having trouble following). If needed I can buy you a camera and make some more donations for your efforts. furthermore it would help a lot of other people learn it also. I just want to learn it myself so I would no longer have to ask/request someone to do things for me. hope you had a Merry Christmas, and have a happy new year.

Edit: you could use camtasia to do your tutorials with

so if downloaded, can you find the part of code that use the hdmi? if so can it be incorporated into the rom? im sure with trail and error it could be figured out, right??

im not trying to sound like it should be easy, but can't you just take the code and put it into the rom? if the files are there they should work right?

dont take it the wrong way, in my book Whyor you r the man!!

Thanks, I'm trying to make the point that it's probably been tried by TG & Isaac since it's been out since August. If there are any NEW sources released by Motorola or Huawei for their other similar phones, that would be more useful.

i hear what your saying, but i dont thrink TG or isaac were that concerned with the hdmi. what about a program that pulls the code out of the phone itself?

i'm Watch
a link i thought i might make many of you smile.

Very interesting indeed. Is this a phone altogether by itself? It would be cool if it synced to your already owned phone. I can't say how many times I was doing something and couldn't or didn't want to carry a clunky android phone with me. How cool would it be to sync this thing to your android and have messages, calls, and whatnot go straight to this instead?

Wow... I completely missed the premise of this. The watch does connect to your android! lol my bad

whats even better is that you have music play through it and hookup your earphones to it. you can talk on the watch. check the weather and messages. and the list goes on. this runs on android 1.6.

Yeah I got the liveview watch and I have to say its pretty useful. I would be interested in trying this one too but its substantially more expensive

I am really, really confused. I thought Isaac had ICS running several weeks ago on the triumph with working touchscreen drivers. Why is everyone else unable to use github to build a rom from the tree Isaac upkept?
