I blacked them out in Cyan 4 2

Blacking it out is easy. You only have to change one word in the styles. The hard part is changing all the text so you can still read everything....That is a mofo

it's a little more in depth than just the contacts apk lol

i got everything to be blacked out at one point except the font color (white font of coarse) for specific contacts in the call log so i could never get it to look right.. contacts i had saved would change but contacts that were not saved would remain black, also when you open the history of a call record for 1 contact would also not change color lol... but maybe using grey would surfice? lol

i even manually added the fontcolor line in <textview> lines and anything to do with contacts.. just couldn't figure it out :( lol

thats ok you all can have this theming bullshyt lol. I just spent the last hour trying to get changes to just stick in LG-Contacts.apk and they just wont stick.

LOLOL it's not easy... makes you wanna punch things you dont normally punch!! lol

the way i did it was mostly in layout folder just manually added & changed background colors etc.. it's just the font that wont adjust.. i think there like an apk for telephony purposes or something that controls contacts outside of your saved contacts.. and that may need editing also..?
 
I tried it with dolphin browser and same result.

Update, got it to download using opera. Awesome update on this theme... Love it, just love it
 
Guess I'm the only one who did it the hard way lol. Btw..long time reader, I just don't post much. The hard work of all devs is greatly appreciated. A lot of knowledge I've gained on here has even helped me at work when older people see me doing demos on product while tethering from my phone and explaining what root can do. ( I work at CompUSA)

hey guys. been part of the community for a while just dont post much. mostly reading and learning....so anyway i finally rooted my esteem and i install the ld-ick theme but when it boots up i get the error (the application status bar process com.android.systemui) has stopped. anyway to fix this?

WELCOME TO AF BRO:-) try downloading again and flash you might have got a bad download
 
Nope that doesnt work either! It still happens! And also, is there anyway to get rid of the LD-ICK in the lockscreen. I like the Metro PCS one. I still want the credit in the setting menu -> About Phone
 
also i like to add when i was flashing at the very end of the download it ask for a update. i dont have any update or no of any. and ideas about that?

Update as in an app that has an update in the market?

I uploaded the one I used last night. Don't know if it will make a difference but this never gave me a FC.

Im sorry i didnt go in detail with my statement. I meant to say as i loaded up cwr or fast reboot and im in the recovery menu it shows that it ask for a update. But i ignore it and continue with the download. After the flashing is complete it still ask for some type of update from the sd card. I just click restore phone and then i get the error im getting once i unlock the phone.
 
Yes it ask for update in the recovrry menu. And the error i get is (the application status bar process com.android.systemui) has stopped.
